When Deb and Kari lost their beloved pet Ninja, they weren’t sure they could ever open their hearts again. But fate had a special plan. Somewhere along the way, they found Sweet Dreams Senior Pet Sanctuary, and their journey led them to Mollee Mae, whom they welcomed into their lives as her Guardian Angels! 🏡💗

As they’ve gotten to know and love Mollee Mae, they’ve also grown to love the mission behind Sweet Dreams. They’ve continually shown up for our sanctuary, supported our seniors, and embraced what it means to be part of this little community.

And now? They’ve officially joined our volunteer family! 🎉🐾

Deb & Kari, we’re so grateful that your journey brought you to us. Thank you for opening your hearts to Mollee Mae and then allowing that love to grow into something even bigger. Your story is a beautiful reminder that sometimes, when we open our hearts to a little love, we discover an entire community along the way. 💜

We lost our sweet Pearl last Friday. Pearl had been part of our Sweet Dreams family since December 2023, and she was truly one of a kind. We loved her independent spirit, her carefree attitude, and the way she simply took life as it came, always doing things on her own terms. Someone recently asked me why we do what we do, knowing how heartbreaking it is to say goodbye. The answer is really quite simple ~ because Pearl needed us, and just as importantly, we needed Pearl. She had a safe place to spend her final years, surrounded by love, and she gave us so much more in return. Run free, precious Pearl.

Thoughts according to Mollee Mae : BOLO for my moms! Haven’t been seen in a month of Sundays… or a week, whichever is longer. I think they don’t love me anymore. Looks like my mom Debra Lara has done nothing (NOTHING) but eat and have fun… without her “precious” hmmmm, what was that ol’ dogs name again? Ugh. I’ve been forgotten. Abandoned. Left to my own devices. Kari Burns-Lara, have you forgotten me also? No more trips to Home Depot? The park? The salon? Seriously, am I stuck here at the funny farm for the rest of my days?!?!? Be on the lookout for these two!!! (Here’s a picture of when they still included me - aka Maul Maul - in the fun 🤨)
