Fine Art Museum of Sedona

Fine Art Museum of Sedona We are a non-profit organization committed to preserving and exhibiting art for future generations to experience and appreciate.

Since its inception, the Sedona Art Museum has been seeking a place to call home. We’ve spent time trying to establish a temporary space, and have ultimately re-focused our attention on finding land and building a Museum. We believe that a state-of-the-art facility is what’s needed to carry the cultural legacy of Sedona and the Verde Valley forward into the future.

The Fine Art Museum of Sedona (FAMoS) is proud to announce the opening of Resonance: Frequency and Legacy, a landmark exhibition exploring the intersection of intuition, innovation, and energetic awareness. Featuring the works of Sedona-based artists Jan Sitts and Lynnda Pollio, the exhibit invites viewers to move beyond traditional representation and engage with art as a direct, felt experience.

We also invite you to our FAMoS First Friday on March 6th from 5 to 7 pm to meet Dick Sitts and Lynnda Pollio.

Rooted in the unique creative and spiritual atmosphere of Sedona, Resonance showcases two distinct yet harmonious practices that prioritize inner perception over the external world.

Our newest FAMoS exhibition, opening Dec 4 2025, Mr. Hull wanted to feature the gradual transition from his bread-and-butter still life paintings to working from nature on site. He always believed in the studio with its north light and brought in his sketches to finish up inside or to paint larger works. He also explored figure work which he had always done since college. There were models in town willing to pose and several classes of open life drawing sessions. He studied figure painting in college and after seeing a John Singer Sargent Exhibit in Boston in 2006, he was inspired to do more figure work. Some of those paintings are featured in the Fine Art Museum of Sedona exhibition.

Visitors to Sedona and locals are invited to experience The Fine Art Museum of Sedona (FAMoS) newest exhibition. Sedona artist Taylor Hellmann presents “Retro-Spectacle…A Visual Journey.”
This multi-faceted exhibition is not just a glance back into Taylor’s career as an artist and designer but captures the essence of his creativity and artistic process.

Spanning decades, “Retro-Spectacle…A Visual Journey” is designed to take the viewer on a voyage of creative discovery. Inspired by his fashion design background, Taylor’s earlier two-dimensional works from the 1980’s evolved into dioramas. During the 1990’s Taylor’s work became distinctly three-dimensional, capturing a stylized view of ordinary events. This collection of artwork transports the viewer through a multi-faceted exploration of different media and designs ranging from textiles, jewelry, dolls, clocks, and ceramics

FAMoS is located at 2081 West State Route 89A, Suite 4, Sedona, AZ 86336 (Sunset Plaza where the Harkins Theaters are located). Open Thursday through Sunday from 1 to 5 pm.
