🚨 We’ve got FIVE new piggies coming to Snouts… and we need a little help getting their new digs ready! 🐷🔨
Three of these sweethearts were recently saved from the euthanasia list at Lancaster and are safe with a foster while we finish preparing for them. ❤️
And the other TWO? 👀
Wellllll… we’re keeping their story a secret for just a little longer. 🤫🐷🐷
What we can tell you is that they’re coming from somewhere we’ve never rescued pigs from before, they’ll be arriving at the end of next week, and we are ridiculously excited to welcome them.
But first… WE BUILD! 🛠️
We’re creating a new climate-controlled piggy space so these five have a safe, comfortable place to land while they settle in and eventually integrate with our existing herds.
That means lumber. Windows. Doors. Drywall. Flooring. Concrete. Insulation. And approximately 847 trips to the hardware store. 😂
This isn’t a space that will only help these five pigs, either. Once everyone is integrated, it becomes another flexible, climate-controlled area we can use for future rescues, new arrivals, medical needs, introductions, and any pig who needs a little extra space.
So this is one of those projects where $5, $10 or $25 really does help. A few dollars buys screws. A little more buys lumber or drywall. Put enough people together and suddenly five pigs have a room. 🐷❤️
And we already have our first helping hand!
A HUGE thank you to Steve, the donations manager at the Sierra Vista Home Depot, and the Sierra Vista Home Depot team for donating $150 worth of lumber toward the build! 🔨🧡 That lumber is already helping turn this idea into an actual piggy space.
If you’d like to help us get it finished before our mystery duo arrives next week, any amount toward the build would mean a ton.
