What does 50lbs of young Royalty look like? 🤣🥰🐷

The Duchess stopped many times on her journey around the yard and instead preferred her royal servant...me ... to carry her around lol. Seriously...and not a peep out of her.

This is not normal for a pig... they usually scream when picked up. Poor girl must have been very loved at one time in her life before ending up at the shelter. 😭

Not to worry Duchess... I shall serve you till my last breath. You are with us forever ♥️

Duchess Elowen von Biscuit does not simply walk.

She prances. She kicks. She sashays. There’s a little tango, a touch of paso doble, perhaps some Spanish royal dressage… all performed at pig speed. 😂💃🐷

Her very fancy footwork has been checked out and she has been deemed perfectly healthy. Apparently this is simply how Her Grace travels.

Why walk normally when you can make every trip across the yard an unnecessarily elaborate royal procession?

Long live the Duchess and her weird little kicky legs. 👑

Duchess Elowen von Biscuit is settling in well and is already making friends with Sally and Puddles. 🐽💓

Touchdown! Duchess Elowen von Biscuit has arrived! ✨️😍

She had a little dinner, snuggled into her new bed, and has already discovered that belly rubs are absolutely included with the royal accommodations. 😂 She really is such a teeny, tiny little pig, and looking at her tonight, it’s hard to believe she was sitting at the Apple Valley shelter in danger of being euthanized.

But she’s here. She’s safe. And she’s home. ❤️

Thank you to everyone who helped make that happen — whether you donated toward her transport, her upcoming spay, signed up to sponsor her monthly care, helped with transport, fostered her along the way, or simply helped us get this little Duchess from a shelter kennel to her forever home.

Tonight, she gets to sleep knowing she isn’t going anywhere. Welcome home, Duchess. ❤️👑

Whats it like outside at dusk?

Only a few pigs havent tucked themselves in the night. The ladies we saved from the laboratory... our Kunekunes and Tyson. 🤣

Piggies are prey animals and naturally head to bed as dark approaches. A few of them are such good athletes they can get away with staying our a few minutes later. 🤣❤️🐽

Its that time of year! 🎃 Pumpkins beware! 🐖💕🐽

Pigs love pumpkin season. We go through 6 or 7 large pumpkins for lunch every day to feed over 50 piggies.

Thats on top of piggy food for breakfast and diner...orchard grass and of course snacks. 🤣♥️✨️

Its so fun to watch them eat ♥️💞🐽

We happily accept punpkin donations ad long as they are whole, not moldy, free from paints chemicals or anything that wouldnt make it safe for your family to eat. Walmart has a great deal on them now if anyone wants to order the piggies some in the meantime. ♥️🐽💯💓

Huck and Pete from the Hesperia shelter are SAFE! ✨️🤩

They rode to freedom today and are safely with our friends at Oakhaven Rescue, Inc who will foster them until fixed and healed and we can set up a space. ❤️🙏

Huck will then come to us at Snouts of the Southwest and Pete will make his way to our friends with Better Piggies Rescue 💕

Thank you to everyone who donated toward Huck's neuter, and his transport with Pete today. And thank you to his sponsor Laura Frobose. ❤️🐽
Thank you Gina Whelan for the videos and fighting to get them to safety every day! 💞

Teamwork my piggy friends! ❤️💞🐽💞✨️

Well… we didn’t quite hit our goal yet.

But we can’t say no to Huck. ❤️🐷

HUCK IS COMING TO SNOUTS OF THE SOUTHWEST.

You all have helped us raise enough to cover his neuter, and sponsor....and we’re still fundraising to build out the safe space he’ll need here. But we decided we’ll figure out the rest as we go. We just need to get him SAFE first.

And apparently Huck decided one freedom ride wasn’t enough.

IT’S A FREEDOM RIDE FOR TWO. 🚌🐷🐷

Our friends at Better Piggies Rescue have committed to helping Pete and giving him his shot at a loving forever home too.

Tomorrow, Bree is firing up her big magical pig bus and heading to the shelter to bust BOTH boys out. And because it’s approximately 4,000 degrees outside, Huck and Pete will be traveling in glorious air-conditioned luxury. 😂

Their first stop will be with our friends at Rescue, where Sarah will foster them while Huck and Pete get neutered, heal, and we finish preparing for Huck here at Snouts.

Right now we’re trying to raise $250 toward tomorrow’s freedom ride and transport.

Thank you SO MUCH to everyone who has donated toward Huck’s neuter, sponsored him, shared his story, or helped us get this far. We seriously could not have said yes to him without you.

If you can toss a few bucks toward getting these boys OUT tomorrow, please send some love our way at Snouts of the Southwest.

And please don’t forget to send some love to Better Piggies Rescue too. They just said YES to Pete. ❤️

Two pigs. Two second chances. One ridiculously fancy pig bus.

Tomorrow, Huck and Pete get the hell out of there. 🐷🐷🚌💨

👑 THE DUCHESS IS COMING HOME SATURDAY! 👑

Duchess Elowen von Biscuit has officially secured her royal carriage and will be making her journey to Arizona this Saturday. 🐷🌵

For the past week, our wonderful friend Sarah at Oak Haven Rescue has been serving as Her Tiny Highness’s personal chambermaid — providing indoor accommodations, meals, belly rubs, back scratches and generally attending to the Duchess’s every demand. 😂

But on Saturday, the royal household changes shifts.

Our friend Rin Lucia will be arriving with the royal carriage to transport Duchess Elowen von Biscuit all the way home to Snouts of the Southwest. 👑🚐

She has absolutely no idea that an entire network of humans has been rearranging their lives to rescue her, foster her, get her veterinary care and now chauffeur her home.

Which, frankly, is exactly how royalty expects things to work.

See you Saturday, Your Tiny Highness. 👑🐷❤️
