District 12 President Jackie Miller presided over the School of Instruction program hosted by Auxiliary Unit 189 this weekend. Approximately 50 members from district 12 attended, nine members of Auxiliary Unit 189 attended and hosted the event.

On August 22nd Unit 189 is hosting the School of Instruction for District 12 and is open to all Auxiliary members. The district chairmen will be presenting and explaining the Department of Florida programs.
Registration is at 9:30 am and the 'school' starts at 10:00 am. Lunch will be provided. They will explain to us all of the program plans for 2026 - 2027. Because there might be new components of the committees, all of Unit 189 committee chairs are asked to be there.
Our theme for the year is MASH: Mission Auxiliary Serving Heroes; success is the only option. It reflects on who we are at our core: a family of dedicated volunteers who show up, lift up and stand up for our veterans, our military, their families and our communities.
Something new is learned from these schools each time, so please attend.
We hope to see and meet many of our fellow members of District 12.

Have you ever wondered who performs the military honors at a veteran’s funeral? In many communities, it’s volunteers—many well into their retirement years—who continue serving with pride and dedication.

Their commitment is inspiring, but they can’t do it forever.

We’re sharing this again because awareness is the first step. Please help us reach younger veterans who may be looking for a meaningful way to continue serving their fellow veterans and their families.

🇺🇸 A simple share could help preserve this honored tradition for generations to come.

Our unit was awarded the ribbon for having 100% membership for 25-26. Below is Jacquie Miller, District President, awarding the ribbon to our president, Loretta Marshall. Thank you Auxiliary members for making this happen!

Carlene Hamerlin, a member of the Auxiliary and the Honor Guard, made a beautiful quilt and donated it to the Auxiliary. The quilt was raffled off and the proceeds went to the Youth Outreach program. Take a good look at the quilt, it was made from Crown Royal material. Just gorgeous. Thank you Carlene!!!
