Join our auxiliary in celebrating National Pet Month. You can do so by donating pet food to Pet Meals on Wheels. They give pet food to seniors who can't afford to buy pet food. This allows the seniors to keep their pets with them. There are way too many donation locations to list, so scan the QR code to find a place near you. Remember, many seniors in their later years have only their pets to keep them company and to love.

A day at the races at the American Legion Post 189 Sebastian sponsored by the AL Auxiliary of 189. It was a fun day before the Main Event at Churchill Downs and afterward at OUR 'Night of The Races.' We had food and a hat contest, as well. If you were there, I know you enjoyed yourself and if you weren't? Why not?

RIDERS UP! The public is welcome to join us, the American Legion Auxiliary of Sebastian, on Saturday, May 2, 2026 for our Kentucky Derby party! The fun starts at 5 pm with food to purchase, put on your best bonnet and enter the ladies' hat contest and the overall winner will receive a $50 gift certificate to "Nails By Kim," cheer on your favorite horse in the 'Run for the Roses' and afterward a "Night at The Races" with dessert available from 7:30. It will be an evening of fun as well as a fundraiser for Sebastian Post 189. The American Legion is located at 801 Louisiana Ave., Sebastian. Don't miss it!

VFW Post 10210 sponsored a chile cookoff fundraiser for the AL Auxiliary Unit 189's Youth Outreach program in support of the homeless students at SRHS. They raised and donated $1,000 and in addition, the Auxliary of VFW Post 10210 donated $500 for a total of $1,500!! What a great job and thank you! Below is the presentation of the check.

On April 16, 2026, Pam Cantello, VP of AL Auxiliary Unit 189 of Sebastian, awarded $1000 scholarships to Julian Lewis and Veronica Kostan of Sebastian River High School.
