If you live in western Washington you understand the homeless crisis has reached an all time high. With more than 50% of the reported 16,000 unhoused individuals struggling with mental health issues and 47% drug addicted, they are often mistreated and ignored leaving them vulnerable and exposed to the elements in the dead of winter.
These are human beings who deserve compassion and support!
Our Embers of Empathy Initiative distributes “Phoenix Packs” to homeless encampments so that no one has to go without crucial essentials to survive the cold.
Our packs include;
A fleece throw, beanie, pair of gloves, neck gaiter, two pairs of socks, two rain ponchos, a collapsible water bottle, body wipes, toilet wipes, temporary tent, brush, toothbrush and toothpaste, lotion, shampoo and conditioner, lip balm, shave kit, menstrual kit, deodorant, and a first aid kit.
We could use your support and are in need of a few more items. Please check out our wishlist and share. Empathy saves more lives than apathy ever could.
