Earlier this month, we had the privilege of gathering with some of our 2025 Microgrant recipients- a group of inspiring local leaders and organizations working every day to strengthen our communities. The energy in the room was incredible, and we’re excited to share a few photos from the event along with spotlights on several of this year’s awardees.
Reclaiming Gratitude: Voices of the Ancestors is a one-day community gathering by Nosotros En Naturaleza (NEN) that reimagines Friendsgiving through Indigenous voices, healing practices, and cultural celebration. Grant funds will support local healers, facilitators, and food traditions to create inclusive spaces for collective healing, ancestral reconnection, and gratitude rooted in Latine, Indigenous, and BIPOC communities of South King County.
Juntos: Building Stronger Communities, One Gathering at a Time: Workshops, meals, and resources that bring people closer is based on 4 workshops during the months of September, October, November, and December. Each workshop will impact families in Basin City, Washington by providing educational or wellness resources paired with community-building activities to nurture a sense of belonging. For the month of October the theme is Dia De Los Mu***os and entails learning about the holiday, making tissue-paper flowers, and building a community altar. We are providing Mexican hot chocolate and pan dulce, and giving out beanies and gloves to support families as the weather gets colder.
Círculo de Tepatl was founded in March 2025 as a community of Latine and Pueblo Originarios leaders in the Pacific Northwest, coming together to cultivate abundance. Rooted in shared wisdom, mutual support, and collective action, we create space for healing, belonging, and thriving leadership in our communities.
We are honored to support these changemakers and all this year’s microgrant partners. Their passion and dedication reflect the heart of our mission, and we can’t wait to see the impact that grows from their work.
