GERRY the Film

GERRY is a family-friendly story about The Geriatric Role-models Relating to Youth (GERRY) program, a groundbreaking government social program that makes lifelong matches between seniors and young adults, that enables our older generation to pass on their historical and practical knowledge to the younger generation.

Our story begins by introducing Zack, a young man in his 20s who’s life is stuck in neutral and he spends the majority of his time with his face buried in his phone. When he turns 25 he receives an official government letter: it’s time for him to receive his GERRY. Zack initially resists to having his GERRY (conveniently named Jerry) forced into his life. Jerry, however, persists and slowly draws Zack out of his phone’s comfort zone and into the real world.
