Last month over 1,000 of you came to 23rd and Union for Re:Union on Union – can you come back to the block to patronize the corner’s Black-owned businesses?
August is Black-owned business month and as we continue our work to end displacement in the Central District, it’s a great time to put our support into action.
The CD is experiencing a Black business renaissance – not by accident, but as a result of the advocacy and direct action of organized community members to make sure our presence is permanent, not just remembered.
The 23rd and Union corridor’s Black-owned, brick and mortar businesses include:
Adey Abeba
Avole Coffee
Central & Mane
Communion R&B
Earl’s Cuts & Styles
Jake N Friends Pet Services
Jerk Shack Kitchen
Made Space
Marjorie Restaurant
and The ReSole 206
Celebrate Black business month and find your new favorite on Union, Cherry, Yesler or Jackson!
