✨ VENDOR SPOTLIGHT: DRESS UP BOX STUDIO ✨
Falltacular: After Midnight is getting its own piece of q***r Seattle history.
This year’s portrait booth backdrop was created by Dress Up Box Studio in collaboration with local director and dramaturge Charlotte Peters (), drawing heavily from MOHAI’s archives of Seattle Pride celebrations, historic q***r bars and gathering spaces, and LGBTQ+ life throughout our region.
From Shelley’s Leg to Bosco and beyond, the resulting collage celebrates the activists, performers, organizers, and everyday people who created Seattle’s rich q***r history — and the spaces where our communities found one another.
It feels especially fitting for After Midnight, an evening inspired by q***r nightlife, the spaces we create for one another, and the importance of remembering the people who came before us.
📸 And yes — you’ll get to step into that history yourself.
Dress Up Box Studio creates custom-built photo booths, portrait studios, and installations for events throughout Seattle, Tacoma, and Portland. Led by Hannah Concannon, a self-described recovering theatre kid with an MFA in Visual Studies, the studio lives by a motto we absolutely love:
“If you can dream it, we can build it.”
We can’t wait to see what you wear — and the portraits you make — After Midnight. 🌙✨
