This is my favorite tart. Carolin makes them each year. I’m always excited to place my order.

Tarta de Musico
Our annual tart sale has begun! Carolin has been baking and sharing her interpretation of this Catalan combination of figs and dates topped with a caramel mélange of five different nuts for 25 years. It's been a rough year for restaurants, including The Harvest Vine, but we're still committed to donating a portion of the sale of tarts to Facing Homelessness to support our neighbors living outside. Order yours at our website. Tarts available for pick-up beginning next Tuesday, November 24th.

From Thierry & Kathy Rautureau:

Bonjour Gourmands, Friends, Supporters, and Customers,

We miss you a lot! It has been about 45 days since we closed both Luc and Loulay and we are slowly adapting to our new life. Social media is not replacing seeing you, talking with you live in person, however, it has also reminded us how much we value our friends, family, and all of you.

We want to be a part of your celebration, birthday, anniversary, Mother’s Day, going away party, company party, and more.

Since Mother’s Day is coming soon! We know how important Mom is and we do not want to forget her. Kathy, of “Flowerworks,” our in-house very talented florist (and the mother of our two boys) has created a beautiful floral arrangement with a Spring tone (see the details below) that would make a nice gift. Since I have been homebound, I have been playing in the kitchen a bit more trying my hands at bread baking and more. I will bake some brown butter, orange madeleines to accompany the creative arrangement. There will be a very limited quantity available.

For each arrangement, we will give back $5.00 to Food Lifeline which will generate 25 meals in a time where help, to fight hunger in America is, more needed than ever.

We are working slowly on figuring out what to do next with both our restaurants, we will inform you of our findings as soon as we know.

We hope you all stay healthy and strong. We miss you all, looking forward to seeing you again soon.
Thierry & Kathy Rautureau

Paella sold out for tomorrow within 30 minutes of posting the menu! So Joey is prepping more new pans with salt and oil. Looks like tortilla and beet salad are sold out for tomorrow as well, but there are still some favorite dishes available for pick up tomorrow. Just order at our website by 10 a.m. to have it ready for pick up between 2 and 5pm. Saturday's menu will be posted at noon on Friday, so if you're craving something in particular, order early.

We had a good turnout this year for Spring Clean. At 9 am Saturday morning about 25 adults and kids assembled at Fast Frame to clean up and beautify Madison Street. The event is sponsored by the Madison Valley Merchants Association and McGilvra PTA with help from local residents and businesses.

Rain and snow don’t mix: Clear blocked storm catch basins and culverts

Tonight’s storm is forecast to bring a mix of rain and snow overnight.

With most of the City beneath a significant amount of snow, storm drains are covered, too.

Systems blocked with ice and snow can cause local flooding of roads and private property.

Our Public Works crews are working hard to clear roads as quickly as possible, but you can help reduce the chance of flooding in your neighborhood.

Blocked Storm Catch Basins and Culverts – What To Do:
• Monitor neighborhood storm catch basins and driveway culverts and keep them free of ice, snow and debris. This may mean clearing them repeatedly as snow falls, plows pass by, or ice builds up.

• Do not block storm catch basins and culverts with snow shoveled from your driveway.

• If the storm catch basin or culvert is blocked, use a shovel to clear it, and break up and remove any built up ice. If this does not help, report the blockage at My Sammamish Fix It

• NEVER remove a storm catch basin lid or attempt to clean a catch basin when located in a busy street.

• Do not wade into water when you are unsure of the depth.
