eSe Teatro: Seattle Latinos Take Stage

eSe Teatro: Seattle Latinos Take Stage eSe Teatro is a collective of professional theatre artists with a vast body of experience.

We are an open collective actively reaching out to encourage other Latinx theatre artists to have a sense of home and place. “eSe Teatro” employs Latino actors, directors and writers who have great difficulty competing in mainstream theatre. Lack of employment opportunities and exposure are the main reasons so many Latino theatre artists leave the Seattle area. “eSe Teatro” is designed to give Lat

ino theatre artists a space for self-expression, be it a physical space, a space for peer evaluation and support, a space for creativity and development, a space for dialogue with Latino communities or simply a space to have our work honored and validated.

eSe Teatro is thrilled to announce its next play, “Don’t Call It a Journey.” A play built from objects, inside jokes, mistranslations, and the absurd bureaucracy of illness that actually make up a life — and a loss. Funny when you don't expect it; heartbreaking in the same breath.
In the end, we know that grief doesn’t travel in a straight line. Neither does this play.
