Hazel (2) and Ember (1) are two spirited pups who bring endless joy to their humans. Hazel, a mix of 14 breeds—mostly Chihuahua and Mini Pinscher—was born in an overcrowded situation in California and adopted as a puppy from Dog Gone Seattle. Ember, a 12-breed mix—mostly Shiba Inu and Jindo—was rescued from a dog meat farm in South Korea and recently found her forever home through Dream Tails. Hazel is a fearless, 12-pound squirrel hunter who keeps the yard free of tiny invaders, while Ember is learning the ropes as a committed squirrel-hunting apprentice, following her sister’s lead. Hazel, Ember, and their two rabbit siblings (adopted from SAS) fill the house with nonstop, adorable chaos. They’re always by their humans’ side—whether on a rainy afternoon reading, on a sick day, or a hike exploring every tree. They’ve also taught their family that shoes, socks, books, and even furniture are all fair game when it comes to having fun.
