HONK! Fest West We are a 501(c)(3) arts organization that produces an annual free, three day music festival HONK! In 2021 HONK! Fest West in June. Bands at HONK! DONATE!

Fest West is a free, three-day, community-supported music festival devoted to marching bands, drum corps, samba lines, and anything acoustic and mobile that makes a ruckus. This immersive festival occurs annually in June, and is 100% volunteer-run, performed, and organized. is on every continent, with Seattle’s festival occurring since 2008. Fest West transitioned to a federally recognized 501(c)(

3) non-profit known as HONK Festival West. We are excited to usher in a new era of programming for our community, while continuing our iconic annual HONK! Fest West travel from all over the country to temporarily transform streets in various neighborhoods with a free showcase of various musical styles. is a celebration of community, collaboration and creative expression and is dedicated to creating a community of inclusion. We work to break down systemic barriers to inclusion for those underrepresented within our community, and increase community access to our programming by producing the festival in neighborhoods of the Seattle area underserved by the arts. Did you know HONK! Fest West is run by a nonprofit? The nonprofit is governed by a board of directors, who make decisions about the nonprofit. For us, all board members are also involved in committees that make the festival happen. We added 4 (!!) new board members in this last year as the others had reached their term limits.

We need *4 people* to help with driving vans to/from our storage units for H!FW! Please reach out if you think this is something you can help with 🎺🚙🥁 details below!

Shift 1 (1 volunteer needed): 4PM Friday from S**O to Georgetown - 11PM Friday, parking at your home overnight, 10AM drive to Columbia City

Shift 2 (2 volunteers needed): 9PM Saturday drive cargo van from Columbia City to park at your home, 10:30 AM drive van to Pratt Park. 7PM drive van from Pratt Park to storage unit.

Trash Truck (1 volunteer needed): At the end of each festival day (around 11p Friday, 9p Saturday, and 7p Sunday) collect bags of trash. You can use your own vehicle or we can rent a uhual truck. Keep the trash in the vehicle bed and bring trash to the waste station on Monday morning to dispose of the garbage. You will be reimbursed for disposal fees.
