❤️🖤💚 Juneteenth in community.

Members and their families celebrated across Seattle and Tacoma while intentionally supporting Black-owned businesses, including Mama’s Soul Food, Bongos, Altha’s, and Peyrassol West.

We also celebrated at Africatown’s Juneteenth event and Tacoma’s Juneteenth celebration, where we connected with members of the Tacoma chapter.

We also volunteered at Atlantic Street Center's 25th Annual Juneteenth Celebration.

Together, we spent hundreds of dollars investing back into our local community in just ONE day.

We’re celebrating Amber Jones, a dedicated Registered Dietitian Nutritionist (RDN) committed to helping individuals build healthier relationships with food. In her work, Amber combines evidence‑based nutrition guidance with practical support, ensuring people understand not just what to eat, but why it matters for long‑term health.

Amber earned her BS in Nutrition from Texas Woman’s University and a BS in Nutrition from Delta State University, grounding her expertise in rigorous training. She also highlights an important distinction: dietitians are the foremost experts on nutrition, while “nutritionist” isn’t a protected title in many states.

Today, we are highlighting Dr. Demetria Malloy, an Internal Medicine Doctor and Physician Executive committed to strengthening how patients receive care. In her work, she combines clinical training with system‑level leadership to improve how healthcare is delivered and to ensure patients’ needs stay at the center.

Dr. Malloy earned her BA from Stanford University, MD from Tufts School of Medicine and MSHS from UCLA School of Public Health. Her career reflects a dedication to both individual patient care and the broader systems that shape health outcomes.
