Northwest Education Access

Northwest Education Access OUR GOALS:

To connect non-traditional students with the information and financial resources to help them achieve their dreams of a college education.

Northwest Education Access provides comprehensive and individualized support to help low-income young people, ages 16-29, build their own path to higher education and beyond. To provide financial support that helps low-income youth access higher education and meet their housing and basic survival needs while in school. To provide the personal attention, mentoring, technical assistance, and moral support that marginalized youth need to navigate the complex systems of higher education and financial aid. To empower young people living in poverty to develop their own voices and succeed in the higher academic arena.

🪩 WE HAVE AN EMCEE! 🪩

And honestly… who better to lead our night than Neena Viel?

We’re beyond thrilled to welcome Neena back to NWEdA as the emcee for Play It Forward on October 9!

Neena spent five years at NWEdA, helping raise funds to support students and building relationships with the people who make this work possible. Then she moved to Whidbey Island, became a Bram Stoker-nominated horror author, and somehow got even funnier along the way.

Now she's coming back for one night, and we couldn't think of a better person to help set the tone for an evening of community, connection, joyful giving, and a whole lot of fun.

As our Finance Director Katy Childers put it: “Who better to lead our glitter themed event than sparkle personified?”

✨ Exactly.

And here's the other exciting news: 87% of our seats are already reserved! The room is filling up, and we can't wait to see who else joins us.

Some nights are worth showing up for. This is one of them.

There's always room for one more at the table.

One of our favorite parts of Play It Forward is something we're calling Pull Out a Chair.

It's a simple idea. You can help make room at the table by gifting event tickets for the Alumni & Student Advisory Board members, Education Advocates, and staff who bring NWEdA's mission to life every day.

Because investing in young people also means investing in the people who walk alongside them every step of the way.

Whether you're joining us on October 9 or Pulling Out a Chair for someone else, you'll be helping create opportunities for young people across our region. And we'd love to have you be part of it!

🎟️ Early Bird tickets are available through September 4.
