Healing Together: Honoring Our Missing and Murdered Indigenous Relatives 🕯️
True healing happens in community, and justice begins when we refuse to let our relatives be forgotten. Please join us next Thursday, May 28th, for a powerful day of remembrance, advocacy, and collective strength as we honor our Missing and Murdered Indigenous Relatives (MMIR)
We are honored to share space with three incredible voices, advocates, and family members who have turned their deepest grief into unwavering action:
Carolyn DeFord (Puyallup Tribe): Activist, advocate, and the Anti-Trafficking Program Manager for the Puyallup Tribe of Indians.
Gigi Nathan (Tsimshian, Haida): A mother whose son went missing on Deer Mountain in Ketchikan, Alaska. After embarking on a journey of deep personal transformation, Gigi now dedicates her path to healing herself so she can uplift and help other families of the missing.
Cissy Strong (CTUIR / Yakama Nation descendant): A fierce, unwavering voice for her sister, Rosenda Strong, and the broader MMIWP movement since 2018.
Come listen to their stories, support the families, and stand with us as we move toward Healing Together.
