A sunny day, sack lunches, and a ferry ride to Bainbridge Island 🌊☀️

Plymouth staff recently treated residents to a peaceful picnic across the Sound, preparing lunches and making the trip together by ferry. At least two residents experienced their first ferry ride!

After returning home, residents shared how much they enjoyed the quiet of the island and the chance to spend a relaxing day away from the bustle of the city.

Thank you to Plymouth staff across our buildings who create moments like these every day. Helping residents feel connected to their communities, experience joy, and build meaningful lives beyond simply surviving is a crucial part of healing — and at the heart of the work our staff does. 💙

A great day at the ballpark!

Plymouth residents and staff had a wonderful time cheering on the Mariners together at T-Mobile Park. From enjoying the game to spending time together outside of our buildings, it was a memorable day of connection, community, and fun.

Thank you to the Seattle Mariners for your incredible hospitality and continued support of Plymouth Housing and our community. We’re grateful to have partners who help create moments like these for our residents and staff.

Ahead of the recent grand opening of Sheila Stanton Place, we were honored to welcome Kirkland Mayor Kelli Curtis, Deputy Mayor Neal Black and staff from the City of Kirkland, who volunteered to prepare and serve a meal for residents.

The City of Kirkland has been an instrumental partner in connecting people who have experienced homelessness in the community with permanent housing and the support they need to move forward. During the visit, city housing navigators had the opportunity to reconnect with residents they helped welcome into Sheila Stanton Place, making the day especially meaningful.

We are grateful for the strong network of care surrounding Kirkland community members and for the city’s continued support of Plymouth residents as they begin this new chapter in their lives. 💙🏠

We had a great time at this year’s Redmond Derby Days! 💙

It was a wonderful opportunity to connect with Redmond residents, share more about Plymouth Housing’s mission and provide updates on our new apartment building which is currently under construction in downtown Redmond. We’re proud to be part of such a vibrant and welcoming community.

The new building will create 100 affordable homes for people exiting chronic homelessness, with wraparound supportive services offered on-site. Since 1980, Plymouth has been committed to providing housing that offers dignity, stability and the personalized care residents need to thrive.

We are working closely with the City of Redmond, community safety agencies and local partners to support a thoughtful, welcoming and collaborative process.

🏠 Plymouth’s work extends beyond the walls of our buildings.

Every day, we help people who have experienced homelessness access safe, stable housing and the support they need to thrive. While that work happens inside our buildings, creating and sustaining permanent supportive housing depends heavily on public policy — the laws, regulations, funding and broader priorities that shape where housing can be built, how quickly it can move forward and who can access it. That is why education and advocacy are an important part of our mission and something we look forward to sharing more about. 📣🏛️

Our recent story looks at how Plymouth residents, staff, board members, supporters and partners helped advance House Bill 2266, a new Washington law that removes unnecessary barriers to supportive housing and reinforces a simple principle: Housing should be treated like housing, regardless of who lives there.

A heartfelt thank-you to our partners at Sound Community Bank for their generous donation to the Plymouth Supply Center! 💙

Their support will help us stock the shelves with essential items for the more than 100 Plymouth residents who visit the Supply Center each month. Providing no-cost access to personal supplies and home goods is an important way we help residents recover and rebuild after experiencing homelessness.

Sound Community Bank’s partnership goes far beyond this gift. Their staff have volunteered more than 70 hours with Plymouth Housing in 2026 alone, and 124 hours overall, showing an ongoing commitment to being a good neighbor to Plymouth residents and communities.
