t Alicia Guinn (Teacher): Alicia Guinn is a sean-nós dancer and teacher living in Seattle, and she is one of a handful of sean-nós dance teachers in the US. Alicia started dancing as an adult while living in Northern Ireland in 1997 and studied sean-nós dancing in Galway, Ireland from 2000-2002. Her sean-nós style incorporates steps learned directly from Galway dancers including Pádraig Ó hOibicín, Róisín Ní Mhainín, Máire Áine Ní Iarnáin, Rónán Regan, Seosamh Ó Neachtain, and Gerard and Patrick Devane. She was a founder of the Sean-nós Northwest Festival.

A rare opportunity to learn Old Style Irish Step Dancing online. Coming up soon!

Online again!!! 🥳 I have been asked to teach a hornpipe written by Céline Tubridy, the dance has only been discovered relatively recently. Her husband Michael found the steps on an old video tape and notated them.

7 steps in total, intermediate level, this dance has been added to the Dan Furey repertoire.

I'm planning a 4 week course in March, with an 8pm start (Irish) time, at the usual price of £40, you would receive notes and videos after each class.

Please advise by return if you are interested in attending:

a) a Sunday evening series of 4 weeks, 8pm Irish Time (1, 8, 15, 22 March)
b) a Tuesday evening series of 4 weeks, (3, 10, 17, 24 March)
c) or let me know if either evening works for you

Any thoughts welcome - as March isn't too far away! Please respond by end of day Monday if you are interested in attending.
