Stone Carving Symposium starts off Sunday morning with our mandatory safety meeting. Always wear PPE: respirator, eye protection, hearing protection, close toed shoes. Be cautious of long hair, loose clothes & drawstrings on hoodies.
Angle grinders: inspect your blades for cracks, warps or vibrates= replace it! Position the guards, use the handles!
There’s a lot to be aware of around your workspace to keep yourself & neighboring artists safe!

Voting will be from now until 5pm, Tuesday, July 14th. Election Results will be announced at the General Meeting at our Washington State Stone Carving Symposium hosted at Camp Pilgrim Firs in Port Orchard on Wednesday, July 15th, 2026.

Your vote will count only if you are a current member of the NWSSA.

Members, here's a local opportunity for a public art call at the UDub Campus!

📣 : ArtsWA and the University of Washington Seattle are seeking an artist or artist team to create engaging and unique public artwork for the Chemical Sciences Building (CSB) and its surroundings. The Art Committee is interested in artwork that evokes the connection between art and science including the transformative properties of chemistry as well as the innovative, interdisciplinary research that will take place within the CSB.
