The Battle is the Lord’s

2 Chronicles 20:15 says, "The battle is not yours, but God's." It tells the story of King Jehoshaphat, who was facing a large army from Moab, and the Ammonites. He was understandably afraid, but he prayed to God for help. God responded by sending a prophet who told Jehoshaphat that he didn't need to fight the battle himself. God would fight for him.

The next day, Jehoshaphat and his army went to the battlefield, but they didn't fight. Instead, they sang praises to God. As they did, God caused the enemies' armies to turn on each other and kill each other.

The Battle Is Not Your Battle, The Battle Is The Lord's.

The Israelites didn't have to do anything. They simply had to trust God and let Him fight their battle. This story is a reminder that we don't have to be afraid of the challenges we face. God is with us and He will fight for us.

Are you feeling overwhelmed by the challenges you're facing? If so, you're not alone. We all go through tough times, but the good news is you don't have to go through them alone. God is with you, and He will fight for you.

The Battle Is Not Your Battle, The Battle Is The Lord's.

The Approved Worker

In a world full of distractions and empty conversations, it's crucial to remember our divine calling to be an approved worker for the Lord. 2 Timothy 2:15 calls on us to work hard, seek God's approval, and faithfully handle the word of truth.

"Do your best to present yourself to God as one approved, a worker who does not need to be ashamed and who correctly handles the word of truth." - 2 Timothy 2:15

In the midst of life's chaos, it's easy to lose sight of our spiritual purpose. Many people are caught up in fruitless discussions that lead to ungodly behavior, leaving them feeling spiritually adrift and disconnected from God.

2 Timothy 2:15 offers a clear path forward. We're called to work hard, not in our own strength, but by following the leading of the Holy Spirit. When we yield to the Holy Spirit's guidance, we become diligent workers who faithfully handle the word of truth, avoiding the dangers of empty chatter.

Being an approved worker means living according to God's will. It's about being baptized in the Holy Spirit and allowing His wisdom and understanding to guide our words and actions. In doing so, we receive God's approval and become lights in the darkness, sharing Christ's love and truth with the world.

Embrace the challenge of 2 Timothy 2:15 and become a diligent worker who seeks God's approval, shuns fruitless talk, and shares Christ's love and truth. In this pursuit, we not only find our true purpose but also become instruments of transformation in a world that hungers for God's presence.

You're Going to Make It!

Life is a journey filled with highs and lows, dreams and challenges. Often, we set out on a path, excited and full of hope, only to encounter unexpected storms that threaten to derail our dreams. In these moments, it's easy to lose faith and think that our goals are slipping away. God doesn't promise something and then change His mind. He doesn't put a dream in your heart and then take it back. What He starts, He finishes. You’re Going to Make It!

When the storms of life hit, be it sickness, loss, or setbacks it's crucial to remember that God is in control. He knows how to use these challenges to propel you forward, even when they seem like insurmountable obstacles. You may not see a way out, but God has limitless options. He's not limited by the natural because He operates in the supernatural. You’re Going to Make It!

Don’t let your circumstances dictate your faith. If the storm you’re facing and the voice in your head says, "It's never going to work out," declare “I’m Going to Make It!” The storms are a test of your faith. Trust God when everything around you screams doubt. You’re Going to Make It!

Paul, a prisoner on a turbulent sea voyage to Rome faced a hurricane storm that lasted 14 days. All hope seemed lost, but in the middle of a storm, an angel appeared to Paul, assuring him that not only would he stand before Caesar, but everyone on the ship would be saved. Despite the chaos, Paul held onto his faith and declared victory. You’re Going to Make It!

Paul's story illustrates a vital lesson. Your destiny is greater than the storms you face. God's promises are not contingent on your circumstances. When the boat of your plans breaks apart, remember that God has a purpose for the broken pieces. Don't be discouraged by what you've lost; focus on what remains. Your journey might take an unconventional route, but God knows how to use even the remnants of your dreams to get you to your destination. You’re Going to Make It!

Your setbacks don’t define your destiny. Even when life drops you, God can lift you up and set you on a path to fulfillment. It's not too late, and your bad breaks are not the end of your story. God is already aligning the right people and opportunities to help you reach your goals. You’re Going to Make It!

Declare it today, believe it today, and keep your faith strong. You’re Going to Make It! God's promises are unwavering, and He can turn any storm into a stepping stone toward your destiny. So, no matter what challenges you face, remember. You’re Going to Make It!

Trust In The Lord

In a popular comedy show set in a time when people used radios in their cars, there was a hilarious story about a husband and wife who went furniture shopping. They found themselves in a store, surrounded by a variety of comfortable chairs, including a big, cushy recliner.

The husband was instantly smitten with the idea of lounging in that chair, picturing himself watching sports games in total comfort. But his wife had a different view. She thought the recliner was too big and would clash with their home's style. So, a heated argument ensued, with neither willing to give, and they left.

When they got back to their car, the husband turned to his wife and said, "Let's pray for guidance. If the next thing we hear on the car radio mentions the word 'comfort,' we'll take it as a sign from God that we should buy the recliner."

They turned on the car's radio and sat there, eagerly awaiting. The first advertisement that came on was about a comfortable mattress, which made the husband break into a triumphant smile. But then, to their surprise, the very next commercial was all about a weight loss program, leaving the wife bursting into laughter.

In the end, they decided not to buy the recliner, but they both learned something valuable from this amusing experience. They realized that sometimes, it's important to trust each other's instincts and, most importantly, rely on God's guidance in making decisions.

Proverbs 3:5-6 - "Trust in the LORD with all your heart and lean not on your own understanding; in all your ways submit to him, and he will make your paths straight."

In the midst of life's battles, remember Psalm 60:12

"With God, we shall do valiantly, it is He who will tread down our foes." Let your faith rise, for in Christ, you are an overcomer! Keep pressing on, for the Lord is your strength and your ultimate source of victory!"

The Power of Obedience

Samson was a powerful man, but his strength came from God. When he disobeyed God by revealing his secret to Delilah, he lost his strength and was captured by the Philistines. This shows that we are only as strong as our obedience to God. When we disobey Him, we lose His power and His protection.

Even though Samson disobeyed, God still gave him the opportunity to repent and regain his strength. God's love and mercy is always available to us, no matter what we have done, but it comes out of a desire to please Him.

In God's hands, we are a force to be reckoned with. In our own hands, we are nothing.

Don't be afraid to be strong in the Lord. When you obey Him, He will give you the power you need to overcome any challenge. So don't let the enemy take advantage of your weakness. Instead, turn to God for strength and guidance. He will never let you down.

The Importance of Spiritual Fathers

In a world that is full of spiritual darkness, deception, and danger, the need for spiritual fathers is clear. Without spiritual fathers, we can easily become lost and vulnerable, as we are not sure who to listen to or who to trust.

A spiritual father is someone who can provide us with guidance, protection, and empowerment in our spiritual journey. They are someone who has walked the path before us and can help us avoid the pitfalls and obstacles that we will inevitably face. They are also someone who can pray for us, encourage us, and hold us accountable.

The Bible provides us with many examples of the importance of spiritual fathers. For example, when Elijah was taken up into heaven, Elisha cried out, "My father, my father, the chariots of Israel and its horsemen!" (2 Kings 2:12). Elisha's cry was not just a gesture of respect; it was a recognition of the unique bond that he had with Elijah. Elijah was Elisha's spiritual father, and he had taught Elisha everything he knew about the ways of God.

The image of the fiery chariot and horses that took Elijah up into heaven symbolizes the power of a spiritual father's legacy. Just as Elisha received Elijah's mantle, we can inherit the authority and anointing of our spiritual fathers. This anointing can help us to conquer the flesh, the world, and the devil.

In today's world, it is more important than ever to seek out spiritual fathers. We need people who can guide us, protect us, and empower us to fulfill God's purpose for our lives. Spiritual fathers can provide us with the wisdom and experience that we need to navigate the challenges of our day. They can also help us to discover our purpose and strengths.

If you are looking for a spiritual father, I encourage you to pray and ask God to lead you to someone who can help you in your journey. A spiritual father can be a great blessing in your life, and they can help you to grow in your faith and become the person God created you to be.

Are you ready to call out, "My Father, My Father," and inherit a double portion?

When Following Jesus Leads to Persecution

The early Christians in Thessalonica were persecuted for their faith. They were mocked, beaten, and even imprisoned. Despite the persecution, they continued to follow Jesus.

There are three reasons why the Thessalonians were persecuted. First, they were new believers. They didn't have the same level of experience or maturity as other Christians. This made them easy targets for persecution.

Second, the Thessalonians were "Imitating" their spiritual leaders. They were following the example of Paul and Silas, who were both bold in their testimony of Christ. This made the Thessalonians stand out from the crowd, and it made them targets for persecution.

Third, the Thessalonians were turning from idols to serving God. This angered their friends and relatives, who didn't want to see them change. This led to even more persecution.

The Thessalonians' experience is a reminder that following Jesus doesn't always come easy. We may face persecution for our faith. But we can take comfort in knowing that we're not alone. Jesus was persecuted too. And he promises to be with us through it all.

If you're facing persecution for your faith, don't give up. Keep following Jesus. He will never leave you or forsake you. Remember that you're not alone. There are other Christians who are facing persecution too. Follow Jesus, no matter what!
