Big news! We are thrilled to announce that African Center for Excellence has been selected to participate in Seattle's landmark youth access initiative for the massive global soccer tournament coming to our city! Our Youth will get the ultimate matchday experience: a ticket to the action, a stadium food voucher, and a commemorative Seattle scarf.

Opportunities like this break down barriers and show our youth that they belong in the center of the world's biggest moments. We can't wait to cheer on the world's best right here in our backyard!

As a father of young athlete and advocate for youth sports, I understand the importance of soccer and the positive impact it has on young people, especially within emerging and immigrant communities. Soccer is more than just a game—it builds confidence, leadership, teamwork, discipline, and lifelong friendships.

I am grateful for the organizations, coaches, volunteers, and community leaders who continue to invest in our youth by creating safe and inclusive opportunities to play, learn, and grow. Together, we can empower the next generation to reach their full potential both on and off the field.

African Center for Excellence continues supporting youth sports and creating pathways for success for all young people in our communities!

At ACE, we want every member of our community to feel safe, informed, and empowered.
Here is what you need to know:
✅ You have the right to remain silent.
You do NOT have to answer questions from immigration officers about your status, where you were born, or how you entered the country.
✅ You have the right to refuse entry.
If ICE or law enforcement comes to your home, you do NOT have to open the door unless they have a signed warrant from a judge.
✅ You have the right to an attorney.
If you are detained, say clearly: "I want to speak to a lawyer." Do not sign any documents before speaking with legal counsel.
✅ You have the right to stay calm and not resist.
Even if you believe the stop is unfair — do not run, do not argue. Stay calm. Your case can be fought in court.
✅ You have the right to make a phone call.
If you are detained, you have the right to contact a family member or attorney.
