While working at Sam Altman's OpenAI, Fidji Simo was struggling with her POTS diagnosis.

“Unfortunately, it’s very, very hard for me to stand without passing out. I can’t sit or stand so long—more than five or 10 minutes, I pass out, which is very inconvenient to say the least,” she said.

For the last year, Simo has been working on ways to use AI to attack chronic health conditions like her own. In March 2025, while still at OpenAI, she launched a startup called ChronicleBio with her partners. Their goal: To sort through the thicket of symptoms underlying chronic immune-related diseases.

Xezom recently crossed a new milestone: roughly 1 billion AI tokens used across multiple agents and development workflows.

We’ve upgraded our infrastructure, access, and subscriptions to keep pace with how quickly agentic systems are changing the way we build.

These aren’t just tokens spent generating code. Our agents are working across repositories, architecture and system design, debugging, research, testing, code review, product iteration, security analysis, and more.

At this point, AI isn’t simply a tool we occasionally use at Xezom. It’s becoming part of the development infrastructure itself.

So, what’s next?

We put Astra to work.

Not just for us.

For developers. For future users. And, especially, for accessibility.

The next step is turning what we’ve learned from building with agents into systems that can work on problems much larger than our own.

Xezom Accessibility is getting close to its first small round of developer testing. It goes beyond reporting accessibility problems by reasoning through the surrounding interface and code, explaining why a barrier matters, and helping developers implement fixes automatically. Changes can be previewed before approval, traced to individual findings, undone separately, or reverted as a complete session.

Alongside WCAG-focused review, the product introduces Xezom’s own Task Friction Mapping framework. This examines where neurodivergent users may struggle to orient themselves, begin a task, understand and complete the necessary actions, recover from an error, or resume after an interruption. It is designed to reveal cognitive and interaction barriers that conventional accessibility checklists and automated scanners may overlook.

The core review, reasoning, code-remediation, validation, undo, and reversion capabilities are now functional and have passed initial controlled tests. The next step is packaging them into a standalone developer tool and testing them on real projects with select early participants. Funded API access will be provided, so developers will not need to supply their own model keys or pay for analysis usage.
