¿Qué es una cooperativa preescolar? | What a preschool co-op is

En una cooperativa preescolar, las familias no solamente dejan a sus hijos y se van. Las familias forman parte del salón.

En Jardín Infantil, las madres, los padres y los cuidadores participan en el aula, aprenden junto a las maestras y construyen una red entre ellos. Ese es el modelo cooperativo, y es la razón por la que muchas familias siguen conectadas mucho después de que sus hijos pasan al kínder.

El programa es 100% gratuito, se enseña en español y está abierto para el año escolar 2026-2027.

In a cooperative preschool, families do more than drop their children off. Families are part of the classroom.

At Jardín Infantil, mothers, fathers, and caregivers take part in the classroom, learn alongside the teachers, and build a network with one another. That is the cooperative model, and it is the reason many families stay connected long after their children move on to kindergarten.

The program is 100% free, taught in Spanish, and open for the 2026-2027 school year.

Jardín Infantil: inscripciones abiertas | Enrollment now open

Jardín Infantil, la cooperativa preescolar de Villa Comunitaria, abre inscripciones para el año escolar 2026-2027. El programa es 100% gratuito y está diseñado para acompañar a las familias latinas de South Park y del sur del condado de King.

Cada familia recibe:

Qué practica usted durante las cuatro horas de la clase

Esta no es una clase de teoría. Es una clase de manos.

Usted trabaja sobre un maniquí hasta que la posición de las manos, el ritmo y la profundidad de las compresiones dejan de ser instrucciones y se convierten en memoria del cuerpo. Después practica con un desfibrilador automático (AED) hasta que abrirlo y colocar los parches no le genere ninguna duda.

Cuando llega una emergencia real, nadie tiene tiempo de recordar un video. El cuerpo responde con lo que ya practicó.

Clase completamente en español. Certificación HeartSaver válida por dos años.

Regreso a clases en Skyway | Back to school event in Skyway

Public Health Seattle & King County y Floss Boss The Mobile Dentist ofrecerán un evento de regreso a clases y una clínica dental móvil el sábado 29 de agosto, de 10:00 AM a 2:00 PM, en el Skyway Resource Center.

Habrá comida. Se repartirán abrigos, zapatos, mochilas y útiles escolares para niños, por orden de llegada y hasta agotar existencias.

También habrá servicios dentales para adultos y niños, además de vacunas. Se prefieren las citas.

Public Health Seattle & King County and Floss Boss The Mobile Dentist will host a back to school event and mobile dental clinic on Saturday, August 29, from 10:00 AM to 2:00 PM at the Skyway Resource Center.

Food will be served. Children's coats, shoes, backpacks, and school supplies will be distributed on a first come, first served basis.

Adult and child dental services will be available, along with vaccines. Appointments are preferred.

Vacunas sin costo en Skyway | No-cost vaccines in Skyway

Bird's Eye Medical ofrecerá una clínica de vacunación sin costo el sábado 29 de agosto, de 10:00 AM a 2:00 PM, en el Skyway Resource Center.

Vacunas escolares para edades de 6 meses a 18 años: DTaP/Tdap, Hepatitis A y B, IPV (polio), Hib, VPH, Varicela, MenACWY-TT, MMR, Men B, PCV20 y Covid-19.

Para adultos sin seguro médico: Hepatitis A y B, VPH, MMR, Tdap y Covid-19.

Las inscripciones previas tienen prioridad. Se aceptan pacientes sin cita según disponibilidad. Traiga el registro de vacunación del niño, sobre todo si recibió vacunas fuera del estado de Washington, y su tarjeta de seguro si la tiene. Las vacunas son gratuitas para personas de 18 años o menos sin importar el estado del seguro.

Bird's Eye Medical will host a no-cost immunization clinic on Saturday, August 29, from 10:00 AM to 2:00 PM at the Skyway Resource Center.

School-required vaccines for ages 6 months to 18 years: DTaP/Tdap, Hepatitis A and B, IPV (polio), Hib, HPV, Varicella, MenACWY-TT, MMR, Men B, PCV20, and Covid-19.

For uninsured adults: Hepatitis A and B, HPV, MMR, Tdap, and Covid-19.

Pre-registrations are prioritized. Walk-in patients are welcome based on availability. Please bring the child's vaccination record, especially if vaccines were received outside Washington State, and your insurance card if you have one. Vaccines are free for anyone 18 and younger regardless of insurance status.
