Branden's Safe House Branden's SafeHouse is a 501c3 Nonprofit in memory of Branden McKinnon. By providing them with safety, time, love, attention, and resources.

Our mission is to empower the next generation with confidence, community, and the ability to follow their dreams. Branden’s SafeHouse is a 501C3 in memory of Branden McKinnon. Branden was a Bright and Brilliant 12-year-old who lost his opportunity to a promising future by a loaded service weapon left unsecured in his home on May 19, 2021. We don’t know what Branden was going through as we may never know but we want to keep his memory alive with the activities he loved, self-care, and educational means for the youth.

RBAC is excited to collaborate with Branden’s Safehouse for two creative youth workshops this fall! All youth are encouraged to join us for an opportunity to create, learn, and explore art together.

Join us Thursday, September 24 for RBAC Youth Banner Lab: Canva Design, followed by Painting Basics: Mix & Texture on October 8, from 3 p.m. to 6 p.m. at the Rainier Beach Food Innovation Center.

The flyer was created by Branden’s Safehouse as part of this collaboration. Come create with us!
