Project Eagle:
Project Eagle is a community service effort at Sandy Hook School, for students and their families and friends, who want to make a difference in the community. This program was established in fall 2011 with the support of school PTA and the then principal, Dawn Hochsprung. Those who would like to honor the memory of the lost students and staff could consider taking the service pledge

and complete
26 acts in honor of Sandy Hook School. Pledges make a difference! The Service Pledge:
Students interested in joining Project Eagle should download the Project Eagle Service Pledge Form and discuss it with their parents. Parents play an important role in Project Eagle – from helping students come up with project ideas to providing the support needed to complete them. Community Service Ideas:
Is there a group you want to support? A neighbor you want to help? A drive you want to sponsor? A place you want to clean up? Do you have a project you want to undertake on your own? Are there friends you want to partner with to accomplish a larger goal? Do you need some ideas to get you started? Click the document link for Community Service Ideas and Resources for suggestions and then check out the following web sites for service ideas ideal for elementary school students.
