Hey y'all, we are launching a pressure campaign against the mayor and city council to defund sweeps and invest in housing, shelter and services instead.

Katie Wilson did not get elected to oversee the largest sweep budget in city history. With federal cuts to critical affordable housing on the horizon and a looming $140 million city deficit, it is beyond indefensible to spend over $30 million dollars on sweeps.

Our campaign is going to be hitting the streets to help build public pressure to cut sweep funding in the supplemental budget and to continue the cuts until we completely dismantle the sweep team.

We are co-hosting another harm reduction kit making party with this month! We gather supplies from orgs like The People's Harm Reduction Alliance and we purchase wound care and safer smoking supplies. These kits are frequently requested by our unhoused neighbors and mutual aid groups.�
Come join us and learn how to make kits, what’s in them, and get some supplies to distribute yourself! It is a great space to meet people and get involved in mutual aid since folks come from all over the city.��DM us for the details if you can make it or if you want to come pick up assembled kits. Masks are required!

Please join us virtually for our September session introducing folks to Mutual Aid & how to help your neighbors experiencing sweeps and homelessness. We will discuss sweeps in Seattle, but also hope this is an opportunity for folks to find different ways to plug into community.

We have had participants from across the country join these meetings, so please DM us if you want to attend!
