Birdies for Bridges was one day. The impact continues all year.

Hundreds of you showed up for something bigger than golf.

One day on the course, a room full of people who believe teens and families deserve somewhere safe to land. That’s what this tournament was really about. The round is over, but the work it funds doesn’t stop when the last cart comes in.

Every dollar raised keeps Bridges running year-round: peer support, family programming, a community teens can lean on long after the trophies are handed out.

Thank you to everyone who played, gave, and showed up. Community starts here. And it doesn’t end with one day.

Sully is 20 years old and July 3rd, 2026 she celebrated 3 years sober. 

She’s a recovery school graduate, Bridges alumni, and now a peer counselor on our team. The same role held by the people who showed up for her when she was the teenager in the room. 

The first Orcas Island trip she ever took, Ila invited her along last minute, she thought it would be her last hurrah with this community. Last year she came back as a youth chaperone, and now she’s a highly valued member of our staff. 
“I’ve put in a tremendous amount of hard work to get where I am today, and I give myself credit for that. But I could not have built this life without Bridges helping me pave the way.”
What she found here was a community that wouldn’t just support her, it would let her support them too.

There’s a moment every year before the sun is all the way up. The carts are lined up, the lunches are stacked, nobody has hit a ball yet, and we get to stand there and look at all the people who showed up early to make this happen.

Sponsors. Volunteers. Partners. Golfers. Our team. The families who trust us with their kids.

The 4th Annual Birdies for Bridges wasn’t just a golf tournament. It was a whole lot of people deciding that teens in recovery in this community are worth showing up for.

POV: your tee time changes lives.

Sunshine, a little trash talk on the tee box, a dunk tank that got plenty of use, and a whole lot of people who showed up because they believe teens in recovery deserve a community that gets it.

Every foursome, every hole sponsor, every raffle ticket helps a young person walk into a room where they are not the only one.

Thank you for a fourth year of Birdies for Bridges. We are already counting down to next August.

Beautiful day at Newcastle. Full course, good food, a lot of laughing.

But this was never really about golf.

Sully lost her sister to addiction. Two days later, she interviewed to become a peer counselor at Bridges. In her words, Bridges and the school do not just help you stay sober, they help you lay a path for your future.

That path is what Birdies for Bridges funds. Peer-led recovery support for teens who deserve a next chapter, and for the families walking it with them.

Thank you to every golfer, sponsor, and volunteer who showed up on August 18. It was about what comes next.

Sully came up through the Bridges program and Recovery High School as a teen. Seth was her counselor. Now they’re colleagues! Working side by side to support the next generation of youth and their families in recovery.
