Saying no can be one of the most loving things you do. Not just for yourself—but for the relationship.

For many of us, boundaries weren't modeled as care. They were framed as walls. As selfishness. As withdrawal.

This Sunday, we're gathering to unlearn that—together.

[Experiential Meeting] Honor Your Limits, Honor Your Life with Dr. Mavis Tsai & Andressa Secchi
🗓 Sunday, May 17 ⏰ 10:00–11:30am PST | Zoom Livestream 🌍 Live Spanish & Portuguese translation. Captions in 50+ languages.

This is a space to practice—not to perform. To explore what emotional safety looks like for you, in your own body, your own culture, your own relationships.

39 people have already said yes. We'd love for you to be there.

Most of us want to live with open hearts. But when we overlook our own limits, even our deepest love can quietly become depleted.

What if honoring our boundaries isn’t about closing off— but about protecting the very energy that allows connection to flourish?

This Sunday, join Dr. Mavis Tsai and Andressa Secchi for a live experiential gathering: Honor Your Limits, Honor Your Life

🗓 Sunday, May 17 ⏰ 10:00–11:30am PST | Zoom Livestream 🌍 Live Spanish & Portuguese translation. Captions in 50+ languages.

Together, we'll explore what it means to recognize your needs, respect your limits, and stay open-hearted—without abandoning yourself.

What is one limit you've been wanting to honor?

"You can love someone deeply and still need to protect your energy. These two truths can co-exist together."

Exhaustion doesn't mean you don't care.

It often means you care so much for others that you've stopped listening to yourself in the process.

Healthy boundaries aren't walls. They're not coldness or rejection.

They're the quiet practice of staying connected to yourself — so that what you offer others comes from a place of genuine fullness, not depletion.

This month we're exploring what it means to stay open-hearted without abandoning ourselves.

Where in your life might you need a little more of that right now?

If this resonates, you’re welcome to explore our community at livewithacl.org. It’s a space where people from around the world come together to practice deeper connection—with others and with themselves.

"What if the most loving thing you can do today… is let someone take care of you?"

Many of us were taught that being loving meant being endlessly available.

The one who listens. The one who holds. The one who holds it together.

And so we give. And give. And give.

Until somewhere along the way, we notice that we often feel depleted.

This month, we're sitting with a tender question:

In your close relationships — does care flow in both directions? And if not, what makes it difficult?

If it feels ok, sit with that question today. Notice what comes up. You may discover you need something too. 🤍

You can be surrounded by others and still feel completely alone.

If that lands somewhere inside you — you're not alone.

Research tells us that loneliness is one of the most widespread crises of our time. And yet most of us carry it in silence, as if it's a personal failure.

It isn't.

Our founder, Dr. Mavis Tsai, spent years studying connection precisely because she knew that ache so deeply. Which is why she created our global community.

As part of our new series, “Journeys from Loneliness to Belonging” created by ACL Leader .samyvidalon, we’re beginning to share these stories more openly.

So we can meet loneliness together, with awareness, courage and love.

If it feels right, you might sit with this: When did you first feel that ache of loneliness — and what did that part of you most need?

And if you’re curious, you’re always welcome here:

“Loneliness was my first language.”
— Dr. Mavis Tsai

That line stops people.

Because for many of us, loneliness arrived long before we had words for it.

Before we knew how to ask for connection.
Before we knew belonging was possible.

Dr. Mavis Tsai transformed her loneliness into a lifelong dedication to human connection—and eventually, into a global community built on Awareness, Courage & Love™..

Her story is the first in ACL Leader .samyvidalon’s new series:
“Journeys from Loneliness to Belonging”

Because loneliness is part of being human.
But it was never meant to be carried alone.

We’d love to hear from you:

When did you first remember feeling lonely?
And what helped you begin to feel like you belonged?

Share in the comments if it feels right.

Purpose rarely comes as a grand revelation.

It often begins in a simple place:

Noticing what matters to you…
and where that meets what’s needed around you.

There are moments in daily life that quietly ask something of us.

A conversation where someone needs presence.
A situation that stirs a sense of care, frustration, or responsibility.
A place where your values feel activated.

These moments are easy to pass by.

Or… they can become invitations.
Invitations to pause.

To notice what matters.

To respond in a way that feels true to who you are.

Over time, it’s these small responses that begin to shape a life of purpose.

Think about a recent moment that stayed with you.

What did it awaken in you?

What value of yours felt touched?

How might you respond more intentionally next time?

Inside the Awareness, Courage & Love™ community, we practice this.
You’re warmly invited. Learn more at www.livewithacl.org

The Cost of Staying Surface-Level

You can talk to people all day…
and still feel lonely.

Surface-level conversations are everywhere.
Polite. Functional. Efficient.

We ask, “How are you?”
And answer “I’m fine.”

But what we’re really craving
Is to be seen.

The moment someone shares what’s actually real for them…
Their fear, grief, hope, or longing…
and someone else truly meets them there…
something shifts.

That’s where connection begins.

And often, that's where purpose reveals itself.

Because we start to see more clearly what matters.
To us. To others. To the moment we’re in.

Think about a recent conversation that felt meaningful.:

What made it real?

How might you create more moments like that?

Inside the Awareness, Courage & Love™ community, we practice this together.

You’re warmly invited to join us. Learn more at www.livewithacl.org

What if purpose isn’t something you find…
but something you notice?

Purpose often reveals itself through three clues:

What matters to you
What you’re naturally drawn toward
What others might need

Your strengths
Your values
Your way of being with people…

These aren’t random.

What feels ordinary to you may be deeply meaningful to someone else.

A small reflection for today:

What comes naturally to you that might be a gift to others?

Inside the Awareness, Courage & Love™ global community, we practice recognizing and expressing these gifts in real conversations.

If you’ve been wanting to explore your purpose in a more grounded, human way, you’re welcome to join us.

Most of us move through life asking:
What do I want?

But a different question can quietly change everything:

What is life asking of me right now?

It’s a different orientation.
Less about control. More about listening.

Notice what’s unfolding around us…
the relationships calling for care,
the moments that move us us,
the places we feel quietly pulled.

Purpose doesn’t always begin with clarity.
Sometimes it begins with attention.

Take a moment today and ask yourself:

Where do I feel a quiet pull in my life right now?

What is life asking of you right now?

This month in our Awareness, Courage & Love™ Global community, we’re exploring Life’s Invitation: Merging Passion with Purpose, not as an idea, but as something we can feel and practice together.

Because the truth is, most of us don’t need more insight.
We need a space where we can actually experience what it feels like to be seen, to speak honestly, and to discover what matters in real time.

Our monthly Experiential Meeting is:
A space to slow down.
To listen inward.
To take a small step beyond surface-level conversation.

You won’t be asked to perform or have it all figured out.
Just to arrive as you are and explore what might be unfolding within you.

Again and again, people leave these spaces feeling something many haven’t felt in a while:

More connected.
More alive.
More themselves.

If something in you is curious… we’d love to have you join us.
