Because of your donations, children in our community can access behavioral health support through MultiCare Behavioral Health’s Child & Family Services (CFS) team.

The donor-supported program helps children with mood, behavioral or other mental health issues reduce challenges at school and home, putting them on a path to wellness as they grow into adulthood.

Last year, CFS and similar departments assisted 2,151 children and youth in need and conducted 22,974 therapeutic services.

Support programs like CFS today by making a gift at multicare.org/changing-minds.

In 2018, Michelle Merriweather merged her occupation and passion, becoming the Urban League of Metropolitan Seattle president and CEO.

As leader of Washington’s second-oldest civil rights organization, Michelle partners with mission-driven organizations. In this vein, Michelle learned about the MultiCare Behavioral Health Foundation and joined its board.

“Being on the board aligns with the things I'm passionate about — ensuring folks have the opportunity to not only survive but thrive,” she explains. “Ensuring their mental health has the proper support has been important, especially for the Black community and communities of color, where these resources and conversations didn’t traditionally happen.”

We’re grateful for local businesses like Everybody's American Cookhouse for championing critical behavioral health programs and services.

When you purchase one of their clubhouse sandwiches during the month of May, they’ll donate $1 to the MultiCare Behavioral Health Foundation.

Stop by in honor of and enjoy a delicious meal, while supporting children, youth and adults in your community!

Start your week off right; learn about Navos’ inspiring Infant and Early Childhood Mental Health (IECMH) program in our first installment of Movie Mondays!

For the next two Mondays in May, you’ll hear from a care team leader about how community generosity is powering local behavioral health treatment and support services.

Last year, 103 families with infants and young children received trauma-informed, relationship-based psychotherapy and case management services. Along with intensive clinical treatment, IECMH provides early childhood mental health consultations for preschools, local childcare and early learning programs.
