Success Story….Praise God…Jennifer is headed home🙏‼️

We were able to walk beside Jennifer to help her get back home.
We connected with her through a local agency (Helping Hands-Seaside). We discovered she owned a decent car that needed a few repairs.
Amazingly, We partnered with local churches (SS Assembly of God, and Lighthouse Christian Church) and were able to replace a few parts (battery, alternator, a few fuses and headlights). Labor was donated and only took about 3 hours total (working outside of regular jobs)

Hey community….
Checking in….
We have a need for one of our Seaside neighbors.
Deliver Light was contacted by a partner local agency asking g if we could help with boarding fees for dogs whose owner needs to go to substance abuse treatment (she already left)
The quote is $2600 for 60 days. (The dogs are already boarded)
DL agreed to do some fundraising to help.
So far we have had $500 donated for these two dogs, praise God🙏🏼

If you can contribute to this cause (that is helping a local resident) please contact Michelle, who will facilitate how to donate in a way best for you.

It can be a tax deductible donation or a payment directly to the boarding facility.

2 homeless friends hooked up with their Social Security Friday…

*1/M…three phone calls, verification steps and he is all hooked up with his benefits.

*2/E…two phone calls and a visit to the local SS office. He had both his issues completed and a bonus of a raise.

Also…application for a housing opportunity turned in.

And…rain gear for an elderly (64 yo) for on his bike (electric). He is living in a tent currently. Working to get out.

We are excited to be honored by Lum's Auto Center as a recipient of their Drive for 55 initiative to support local non-profits. This will help us in getting into a “new to us” vehicle after loosing our vehicle to a car fire a few weeks ago.

We are thrilled to announce that we reached our goal of 55 appraisals during our Drive for 55 initiative! We are still blown away by the support. Because so many of you helped us achieve this goal, we are delighted to announce that we will be donating $10,000 to local nonprofit organizations that strengthen our community.

The recipients include VOCA Camp!, First Steps Center for Autism and Developmental Disabilities, Clatsop Animal Assistance, Deliver Light, and Knappa Food Pantry.

Thank you for helping us hit this milestone during our 55th anniversary and for making it possible to give back in a big way. Here’s to driving forward together for many more years!

Please pray for Rob as he strives to get his eyes fixed.
We got him a voucher for a free eye exam which would have included the glasses, however glasses won’t work. Turns out he has Cataract in both eyes.
Please pray he can get in sometime soon to get them fixed.
