In 2025, Stride returned.
But this time, something felt different.
The fear that inspired the first walk had not disappeared entirely, but neither had the love. And what began as a response to hate had started to transform into something bigger: a celebration of belonging.
More neighbors showed up.
More families joined in.
More businesses, schools, faith communities, and community leaders stepped forward to say what had become increasingly clear: Love lives here!
As we made our way through Sea Cliff Ave once again, the message was impossible to miss. Not because it was shouted the loudest, but because it was carried by so many.
Children saw themselves reflected in their community.
Parents found support.
Neighbors found one another.
And LGBTQ+ neighbors were reminded that they were not alone.
What began as a single stride had become a movement.
A movement built not on politics, but on people.
Not on agreement about everything, but on the belief that every human being deserves dignity, respect, and a place to belong.
Looking back, 2025 felt like a turning point.
The conversation was growing.
The support was growing.
And so was the courage of an entire community willing to stand beside one another.
Because Pride Stride was never just about a walk.
It was—and continues to be—a declaration that love wins. ❤️🏳️🌈
And now, in 2026, we’re taking another stride forward.
