🌧️ Well… Mother Nature had other plans today! 🌧️

Unfortunately, due to today’s weather & air quality, we had to postpone our community cleanup at Washburn Street Cemetery. We’re sorry for any inconvenience as we were hoping it wouldn’t affect the clean up but looks like it’s starting at 10am unfortunately, and truly appreciate everyone’s understanding. Your safety will always come first & with rain, high winds and thunderstorms ⛈️, we wouldn’t want to risk anyone.

The good news is… we’re not stopping! 💪🌿

📍 I will be at the cemetery tomorrow (Sunday) at 2:00 PM doing some w**d whacking and grass cutting (hoping this gives the ground time to soak as much rain from today up), if anyone would like to stop by and lend a hand.

🚜 We also plan to be at the cemetery throughout the week, weather permitting, continuing the restoration work whenever we can. Stay tuned for those days coming soon as we are following the weather.

📅 Our next official Community Cleanup Day will be:
Saturday, July 25
🕙 10:00 AM – 2:00 PM

We could really use volunteers to help with:
🌿 W**d whacking
🌳 Brush trimming along the fence line
🧹 General cleanup throughout the cemetery

Every hour volunteered, every w**d pulled, and every branch trimmed helps us preserve this historic cemetery for future generations.

Thank you to everyone who continues to support the Angels of Washburn Street Cemetery. We couldn’t do this without our amazing community. ❤️

💙 It takes a community to preserve our history. 💙

We’re looking for volunteers to join us this Saturday, July 18th from 10:00 AM – 2:00 PM at Washburn Street Cemetery (1915 Washburn St.) for another community cleanup day.

Every helping hand makes a difference, whether you can stay for the whole event or just an hour!

Here’s what we’ll be working on:
🌿 W**d whacking throughout the cemetery
🌳 Brush trimming along the fence line
🔧 We have two riders currently being worked on, and another mower is having the cable wire for the blades replaced, so we’re doing everything we can to get our equipment ready.

If you have a w**d whacker, hedge trimmers, gloves, or just a willingness to lend a hand, we’d love to have you!

This cemetery is a special place in our community, and because of volunteers like you, we’re able to continue restoring and maintaining it for the families, veterans, and loved ones who rest there.

🙏 Any amount of help is truly appreciated. Please invite a friend, share this post, and come spend a few hours making a lasting impact.

🐻 Community Safety Notice 🐻

As many of you know, our volunteers work hard to preserve and care for Angels of Washburn St Cemetery. Over the past several evenings, a large black bear has been spotted in and around the cemetery.

Out of an abundance of caution, we are asking everyone who visits the cemetery to please remain alert and aware of your surroundings.

🟡 If you see the bear, do not approach it or attempt to feed it.
🟡 Keep children and pets close to you.
🟡 If possible, visit with another person rather than alone.
🟡 If the bear is in the area when you arrive, please leave and return another time.

Our goal is to protect both our visitors and the wildlife that calls this area home.

Thank you for helping us keep our volunteers, visitors, and this beautiful historic cemetery safe. We appreciate everyone looking out for one another.

If you have a recent, verified sighting, feel free to share it in the comments so others can stay informed.

💛 Stay safe, stay aware, and thank you for supporting Angels of Washburn St Cemetery.

Me, again! 👋🏻.

All of us at Christmas Miracles, want to extend our deepest gratitude to the following:

-For their donations to us over the past couple of days! We are going to use this funds directly to fix equipment/gas usage.

🫶You’re Invited🫶

Join us, friends, and family for a 10% donation night at Texas Roadhouse (yeehaw)!

This event will be happening on August 24th, from 3pm-10pm.

This event is not only about eating, but it’s about supporting us, as a non-profit.

The money raised from this event goes 100, if not 110% towards the cemetery. We have riders down, and in need of fixing. Also, due to the state of the economy at this time, are in need of some extra pennies to fund gas for the riders. Last time we filled up gas for riders, it was $50/when it is usually only $20.

Every bit, even 10% of your bill matters, as it goes towards maintaining the place that people use as their final resting. 🪽.

I want to see Cowboy Hats, I want to see cowgirl boots. Heck, even park the horses outside!

(You must show this flier to your waitress for donation to be granted).

Bring all your country, to Texas Roadhouse in Dickson City!

Again, August 24th. 3p-10p.

We will be excepting any, and all, basket donations as well for this event, until 8/20.

If you’d like to donate a basket, please drop a “❤️” below.

Thank you, and as always, please share! 😇

I am at the cemetery today cutting grass through the light rain drops. Going to see how much we can get accomplished today.

We have 2 mowers down again and our only other working mower isn’t sounding too great itself!

We have a fundraiser being set up at Texas Roadhouse so stay tuned for that as well. I hope your all having an amazing Saturday 🥰

Good Evening Everyone!

I first want to apologize for being extremely behind in some things this year. We have had some personal matters come up as well as the weather not being cooperating with us. With that said, I am determined to have everything up to date no later than Sunday.

Our clean up is still scheduled for tomorrow starting at 10am. We may need to end early due to incoming storms but we will try to get as much accomplished as possible before hand.

We will also have a mower delivered back to us tomorrow from repair. We had the engine replaced as well as the deck. The cost of the repairs were $300 and were needed due to the needing as many mowers to run as possible.

We will also be accepting aluminum can donations at tomorrow’s clean up. We will utilize these to help with the cost of gas for the mowers. As we all know, gas prices are much higher this year then last couple years.

We will also have some fundraising coming up to also offset these costs. Any and all help is appreciated.
