Great news. An anonymous person sent a box full of supplies. There were pens, oil crayons, crayons, and folders for students.

It certainly brightened my day. Thank you for the wonderful drive by.

Be proud of all of our hard work. In just the first 6 months of being open BNSS has fully supplied 10 classrooms and partially supplied a few more classrooms. It's a small chip, but it's a mighty chip. Thank you all for embarking on this journey with me. It certainly wouldn't be possible without all of you and your amazing partnership.

Super huge news for team BNSS. In the last week, we were able to provide two teacher supply boxes to very grateful teachers.

When I was at the bank helping my son open his first bank account, I met the most amazing lady at the bank whose kids go to a school who is in desperate need. I then did research and came to the conclusion that it is going to be our next project school.

We have also received two monetary donations to help get the supplies that are still desperate need for the kids, such as:

Crayons
Pencils
Glue sticks

If any of you have any extra laying around and are willing to part with them, please let me know.

I know it's been a while since my last post. The holidays were brutal. However, thank you to the sheer selflessness of all of you, Bare Necessities School Supplies, will be dropping off around 10 boxes of supplies at an elementary in tempe tomorrow. It should be enough supplies to fill their wish list. Now, we are 1 school down a lot to go. It is the new year and new goals. So optimistic and can't wait to keep going!!!

I was finally able to make it to my work and pick up the donation we discussed. The lady loaded my car with 20 bankers boxes full of supplies of all kinds. For those of you who know my car....yes 20 bankers boxes fit in my car. I couldn't be more proud to work for a company that loves to give back. Now I just have to sort it all, and get it ready to hand out.
She even told me once I get my car unloaded I could come back and get some more.

I have the most amazing best news ever!!!!!!!!!! I didn't get the grant from my company. However, I know how much of a giving heart they have. After the charity fundraiser I had on Saturday I emailed my old boss who is now the VP of the company. I told her the progress I had made since the grants were given out, and I asked for a donation on work/school supplies. Just in Scottsdale alone we have 3 empty buildings as they have told us we are staying at home permanently. She copied the junior vp and my bosses bosses boss. She granted my request and said she would be happy to donate to a school with a bunch of supplies that couldn't be returned. I couldn't be happier. So, it still worked out in the end!!!!!!

Thank you to the bottom of my heart to these amazing people who spent the day with me sharing their kindness and generosity. For the first ever Bare Necessities School Supplies non profit organization, we had a singles event and a blind draw. We had a day of laughs and a great time. There were a few raffle baskets, and gift cards. There was a silent auction. By the time everything was said and done my wonderful NPO raised 1385 in cash and about 250 to 300 dollars in school supplies. Once everything is logged I will be able to help quite a few teachers and classrooms. DJ'S first grade teacher even stopped by early in the day before a lot of people got there. She was the final push to get this going. Once the final details are worked out there will be another one of these at Bullshooters after the beginning of the year. This way we have different sides of town covered. I certainly can't wait.

Next Saturday 10/16 is the benefit tournament at Tom Ryans to support my non profit organization. The mission is to raise school supplies to support students and teachers.

The bottom line is if teachers don't have the supplies they need to run a successful classroom the students won't feel successful.

I am planning on having 2 events. Event 1: singles 301 single in single out starts at 11. There isn't much time for wiggle room on this. I will be taking early sign ups via fb messenger or text 602-518-7905. This is just to your spot. You can also sign up the day of. This is also to help make sure it starts on time. It will be 10 dollars with 5 going to the pot and 5 going to help buy supplies that aren't raised Saturday that are still in need.

The main even blind draw will start taking sign ups at 12 and will start at 1. It will be 10 dollars with 5 dollars going to the draw and 5 dollars going to the school supplies. There is normally a blind draw on saturday's at Tom Ryan's. It will not be taking place next Saturday. This event will be taking place instead. I will be having help with running the tournament so I can run the other things.

There will be 50/50.
There will also be baskets for raffle.
There will also be a some silent auction items.
For every 5 dollars in school supply items you bring you will be given a raffle ticket for a couple of items that can only be won for bringing items.

I have made this post public so if you wouldn't mind please share. I would like to get the word out to as many dart folks as possible. Thank you kindly.

I also have the ability to provide charity tax receipts if desired.

Some of the things the younger kids go through the fastest are:

Crayons
Glue sticks
Pencils
Smaller pen size dry erase markers
Markers
Paper
Construction paper

Some of the things the teachers have been asking for to make their classroom successful:

Tissues (lots of tissues)
Dry erase markers
Book sets
Treasure box toys
Snacks
Reams of paper
Red, blue, black pens
Graph paper

If anyone has any of these things just laying around from old craft projects, an old home business, or your kids aren't in school anymore, if you are looking for a place to donate all of your old items please consider here. I will take the to go through the items and get them ready if necessary.

Let's not forget any gently used old backpacks laying around. For a kid who doesn't have one they can be washed and good as new.

Thank you.

I have the women covered, and the kids as far as the baskets that I am making, and for the silent auction. I will be posting pictures of the baskets ahead of time to try and draw some attention.

However, I am having a hard time coming up with some good men's items, or sports themed items.

Are there any of my wonderful friends that I know that might have season tickets to one of our Arizona teams. If so? Would you maybe be willing to part with a pair of your tickets, because you realized that you can't make it to one of the games?? Please contact me and I would be happy to work something out with you. It would be going towards an amazing cause.

At the same time frame all of the back to school stuff was going on, and I made the final decision to push forward with stating this NPO, the company sent out an email that they were offering 10 4k grants to people for any reason. Their statement behind it this year was "show us your passion". I followed the process and made it to the finals, but alas I did not win one of the grants. I got some really good feedback from the judging panel. I did get some votes, just not enough to win.

While I was hoping to win, that isn't going to stop me from pushing forward.
