A good friend for many years covering many local stories, will be leaving WTAE Channel 4 on April 10th. You're an amazing man and friend, always joking and doing what you love. We'll miss you! Best of luck on your next story.
After 11 incredible years of bringing news to the party, I'm happy to share some big news about my time at WTAE-TV Channel 4 - it's time for me to take a bow. My last day at the station, where I've been juggling duties including overseeing the Westmoreland County bureau, is April 10, 2026. This monumental decision comes after my wife landed her dream gig in North Carolina, which perfectly aligns with our family's plans to live life and eventually retire in NC.
Over the past 11 years, I've been honored to cover news that's literally changed lives across Westmoreland, Fayette, Indiana, Armstrong, Washington, and Allegheny counties. After spending 20 years in Cleveland, coming back to Western Pennsylvania was like finding my tribe, and I rediscovered why I love this place.
During my time here, I've gotten to tell stories that are laugh-out-loud funny, cry-out-loud sad, and everything in between, and let's just say it's been a wild ride that made life super interesting.
I have made friends, watched my children grow into adulthood and grown as a person and husband. And through everything, I fell in love with Westmoreland County and its people. You’d stop and say hello and tell me to say hi to the people back in Wilkinsburg. You’d voice your opinion or send me tips.
You’d also tell me your opinion of the media. 😉😉
We went through happiness and tragedy. We survived Covid shutdowns. And through it all, I’m so very glad that I was able to do it with you all.
I will still be around for a few more months doing a slow move while my wife is down in North Carolina, so don’t be strangers. Feel free to contact me via Facebook.
I will miss you Westmoreland County. You’ll always be in my heart. ❤️
With all my love and respect to you all.
