GCAMP In the past five years GCAMP has:

Arranged open houses for area middle and high school students and parents to see advanced manufacturing in action.

The Greater Chicago Advanced Manufacturing Partnership, or GCAMP, is a 501(c)3 Nonprofit Charitable Organization with a mission to work toward creating a sustainable manufacturing workforce in the Greater Chicago area. Also sponsored buses of students to attend trade shows like IMTS and FABTECH

Helped Harper Community College redevelop an advanced manufacturing program that now has approximately

350 enrolled, with potential for 1,000+

With workforce brands, collaborated on an innovative manufacturing internship program that has won national and state recognition

Worked with local secondary schools and community colleges to support dual credit/ advanced placement courses to get students on a STEM manufacturing career path.

At the Directions College and Career Fair, the goal is to provide every student with Special Education Services and Section 504 Services access to an academic and/or a career-oriented opportunity after high school and equip every student with the knowledge they need to succeed after graduation.

Combined, schools involved serve more than 3,000 students who receive special education or Section 504 services. This event is intended to reach hundreds of potential future students.

GCAMP would like to thank one of our Champions, for their recent donation of materials for educational programs. Seventy pieces of brass bar end stock will benefit Lake Park West High School in Roselle.

Additionally, MTH donated 10 stainless steel bars, approximately 1 inch diameter and 4.5 ft long, shown above. These stainless bars are still looking for a good home! We have an educator seeking these materials for their shop. Your donation will help over 60 kids learn in their manual machining class this year.

Specifically seeking scrap materials of:

1. Brass = 7/8" Round Stock > 2 inches in length
2. Mild Free Machining Square Steel (like 1018) = 1.125 x1.125 x any length

GCAMP is happy to help any manufacturer with spare materials or tools find a good home for their extras! ⚙️
