Quick Tip: Check Your Roof for Moss
Moss on your roof isn’t just an eyesore—it’s a red flag.
Moss traps moisture against your shingles. That constant dampness can:

-Soften and lift shingles
-Speed up granule loss
-Lead to leaks, wood rot, and a shorter roof lifespan

It’s especially common on shaded, north-facing slopes or roofs with poor drainage.
Pro tip: Walk the perimeter of your home and look up. If you see green patches, it’s time for a closer look before small issues turn into expensive ones.
Need a professional set of eyes on your roof (or the rest of your home)? ProCheck Home Inspections is here to help.

Why aren’t Sheffield Towne Association’s outdoor cameras available for public viewing? There appears to be no clear reason to prevent residents from accessing them.

Is access being restricted because the cameras are not functioning as effectively as they should? Residents also deserve an explanation for why so many trucks are regularly parked at the STA office.

If all of these employees and vehicles are necessary, why do they appear to spend so much time sitting idle at the office rather than being used throughout the community? Greater transparency regarding the cameras, staffing, and use of association resources is warranted.

Law enforcement agencies in the U.S. use AI-powered cameras to scan billions of vehicles each month, often without drivers ever realizing. Supporters say the technology is a tool for solving crimes. But critics warn it's creating a nationwide surveillance network, raising urgent questions about how much privacy Americans are willing to sacrifice in the name of safety. Paul Solman reports.
