As expectations around measurement and accountability continue to rise across media, advertisers increasingly want proof that campaigns are delivering as promised.

We recently interviewed PlaceBased Media's Cody Cagnina to discuss the growing importance of providing advertisers with independently-verified campaign data in out-of-home media. PlaceBased Media operates a large-scale network that reaches at-risk populations with healthcare messaging in clinics, pharmacies, grocery stores and other retail environments.

A recent audit revealed one PlaceBased campaign exceeded expectations with a 113% delivery rate. The fact that this result was verified by AAM had an even greater impact.

Cagnina said: “Having a verified number from a third party is huge. It gives us so much more credibility when we’re going to a major brand or organization, and it genuinely differentiates us from competitors.”

Out-of-home media has long been valued for its ability to reach audiences in real-time. But as the channel evolves, expectations around measurement, accountability and proof of performance have only increased.
