Episode #213 of The Climate Realism Show is a special edition featuring two of the most prominent voices challenging the conventional climate narrative: Greenpeace co-founder Dr. Patrick Moore and astrophysicist Dr. Willie Soon.

Patrick Moore helped launch Greenpeace and participated in some of the environmental movement’s most famous early campaigns, from confronting nuclear weapons testing to putting himself between whalers and their targets. But after 15 years with the organization, Moore walked away.

In this presentation, Moore explains why he believes Greenpeace abandoned its original humanitarian mission, became increasingly hostile toward modern civilization, and embraced what he argues is bad science in the name of environmental activism. He also takes on claims surrounding CO₂, global temperatures, wildfires, forests, fossil fuels, and the long-term history of Earth’s climate.

Then, astrophysicist Willie Soon joins the program for a deep dive into some of the biggest questions in climate science.

How much influence does the Sun have on Earth's climate? How reliable are modern temperature records? What role does the urban heat island effect play? And is the influence of carbon dioxide being overstated by climate models and the IPCC?

Soon discusses decades of research into the Sun-climate connection, solar variability, rural versus urban temperature records, climate sensitivity, and evidence of solar fingerprints in historical climate data from around the world. He also explains why he believes mainstream climate assessments have downplayed important natural drivers of climate change.

It's a different format for The Climate Realism Show this week, but one packed with science, history, and challenges to some of the most widely repeated claims in the climate debate.

Join the conversation in the comments and let us know: What do you think is the biggest climate myth that deserves more scrutiny?

The Climate Realism Show is produced by The Heartland Institute and brings together scientists, researchers, and policy experts to examine the climate stories and claims dominating the news.

One of the biggest tech-related debates right now, which also overlaps with concerns about privacy rights and government overreach, is over new Flock camera systems being used on public and private property. These camera systems are interconnected, in part so police departments can more easily coordinate between jurisdictions to solve crimes... but at what cost? Supporters say it's worth it to stop crime, opponents say it's an invasion of privacy and expansion of the surveillance state. The panel discusses how much is too much, and whether regulations already exist to limit public surveillance.

On the other hand, good news! Americans' right to bear arms might soon be restored by a few degrees following the results of a court ruling which said that certain National Fi****ms Act requirements are unconstitutional and should be void. This might mean that soon, buying suppressors and short barreled rifles, among other NFA regulated devices, may become a lot easier.

For UNHINGED: Karen Bass fell for a fake poll's results, which ended up being some kind of weird social experiment.

And for America @ 250 - This week in 1776, the invasion of New York City begins.

The Heartland Institute's Linnea Lueken, Jim Lakely, Chris Talgo, and S.T. Karnick, will talk about all of this and more on Episode #549 of the In The Tank Podcast.

Climate Central says warmer nights prove climate change. The real culprit might be sitting on the tarmac.

A showcase weather station in their report is at an airport where field testing found it reads warmer than its surroundings — because of pavement, jet traffic, and urban sprawl, not greenhouse gases. Garbage in, garbage out.

An article at Climate Central, “Climate Change Is Driving More Warm Summer Nights in U.S. Cities,” claims that human-caused climate change is driving more warm summer nights in nearly every major U.S. city, making overnight temperatures increasingly dangerous. This is highly misleading if not ou...

Conservatives often point at socialism and more or less leave the argument at "these guys are crazy!" -- But the DSA do point to some real problems, like the cost of medical care, how big companies can run roughshod over ordinary Americans, and that public infrastructure is failing in our cities as well as rural communities. But socialist solutions from Medicare for All to eating the rich will only exacerbate those problems, not solve them. We talk about actual solutions, and why socialism fails.

Meanwhile, inflation is falling, which is good, but how long can it last? What should the government do (if anything) to keep inflation down?

On UNHINGED: DSA leadership really does hate America, from its very foundation.

And for America @ 250, we look at how the London newspapers reacted to the Declaration, and we'll see that politically-driven fake news is not a modern phenomenon.

The Heartland Institute's Linnea Lueken, Chris Talgo, and S.T. Karnick, will talk about all of this and more on Episode #548 of the In The Tank Podcast.

There is no let-up in the culture’s attempt to scare our kids about climate change. The latest development is a segment on Sesame Street to teach kids not to be scared of extreme weather. The producers deny it’s a political climate message, but even The New York Times doesn’t buy that.

On Episode 211 of The Climate Realism Show the Heartland Institute’s Anthony Watts, Linnea Lueken, Sterling Burnett, Jim Lakely … will also cover some other Crazy Climate News of the Week. Will the “gold bars” thrown off the Titanic as Biden’s EPA staffers were leaving end up in the hands of grifters after all? Speaking of well-connected climate activist nonprofit groups, many are raking in millions in foreign funds every year. And a prominent UK newspaper says it’s time for Britain to abandon Net Zero. Is this a tipping point for that ruinous policy?

Jim Lakely expresses the frustration felt by millions of Americans at media figures like Chuck Todd and Rachel Maddow, accusing them of spreading misinformation about COVID-19 vaccines.

Early assurances, like vaccines preventing infection and spread, were false, and known to be from the beginning.

One of Denmark’s most internationally recognized climate researchers, Dr. Henrik Svensmark, was just sacked from his long-time position at the Technical University of Denmark. Unlike many climate scientists, Svensmark conducted actual science experiments, and his work on the effects cosmic rays and clouds have on the climate was leading edge. He was fired after years of moves that look like they were purposely trying to push him out. What happened? Is it because his work didn’t support the alarmist climate narrative? We will have Dr. Svensmark on the program to get the story directly from him.

On Episode 210 of The Climate Realism Show the Heartland Institute’s Anthony Watts, Linnea Lueken, Sterling Burnett, Jim Lakely and Henrik Svensmark will also cover some of the Crazy Climate News of the Week. Is climate change ruining summers for kids? Can wind farms help real farms? Is the best way to fight Net Zero through comedy?

Anthony Fauci was recently hauled before the Senate to explain his role in the COVID 19 pandemic, and the multitude of lies he told as head of the National Institutes of Health’s National Institute of Allergy and Infectious Diseases and advisor to the president. He pleaded the fifth more than 100 times during the hearing, refusing to answer pointed questions. Next steps are as unclear as his tenure, his reasoning for seeming to protect China has been left unstated, and the scale of his corruption is hard to quantify.

Meanwhile, the FCC has delivered a blow to China's AI and robotics industry by BANNING Chinese-made advanced robotics.

On UNHINGED: Mamdani suggests that cash reparations might be doled out over slavery. Somehow.

And for America @ 250, with all the drama surrounding Fauci, we're going to take a look at disease and epidemiology during the Revolution.

The Heartland Institute's Linnea Lueken, Jim Lakely, and Chris Talgo will talk about all of this and more on Episode #546 of the In The Tank Podcast.

Rare earth elements make the green revolution possible, the turbines, the EV motors, the batteries. But a huge share of the world's supply comes out of the ground under conditions most people would never accept: child labor, slave labor, and supply chains the Chinese Communist Party controls top to bottom.

Western producers who refuse to cut those corners can't compete on price. So when you see "affordable" clean tech, ask who's actually paying for it.
