☕ C.H.I.L.D. Parent Coffee – SHS

C.H.I.L.D. invites parents and caregivers of incoming and current high schoolers to a parent-only coffee focused on navigating high school supports.
If you have a child at Scarsdale High School with an IEP or 504 Plan — or if your teen is finding schoolwork or homework challenging — this informal gathering is for you. This is a chance to connect with other parents, share experiences, and ask questions about high school–related topics in a supportive setting. There will be no formal presentation.
Eric Rauschenbach, Assistant Superintendent for Special Education & Student Services, will stop by to answer questions and offer insight.
We hope you’ll join us for coffee, conversation, and connection.(This event is open to parents and caregivers only.)

Hi all,
I wanted to draw your attention to this very important upcoming Scarsdale PTA/C sponsored program. This growing issue of online sexual offenses against children has occurred nationally and locally. As per the FBI, victims are typically males between the ages of 14 to 17, but any child is at risk.
Children as Digital Targets: Tips for Protection
Please join us for our fall PTC program on Wednesday, November 12th at 7:00pm in the Scarsdale Middle School auditorium. We will host a panel discussion to help parents better understand how students in our immediate community are impacted by online sexual offenses including sexual extortion, harassment, and forgery. Leave with knowledge about issues that currently exist in our children’s digital world and how to better navigate parenting in these complicated times.
Panelists include:
Laura Forbes - Bureau Chief & Internet Safety Coordinator, Westchester County D.A.’s office
Detective Chris Moleski - Scarsdale Police Department
Liza Fahey, LCSW - Scarsdale Middle School Youth Outreach Worker
Scarsdale PTC Programming co-chairs Erica Papir and Rachel Fingeroot will moderate the discussion. If you have any questions you would like to submit, please fill out this form.
