Pheasants Forever and Quail Forever have signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) with the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers, Headquarters. But what does this partnership mean?

USACE is the steward of 12 million acres of public lands and waters, and our team is looking forward to jointly restore and conserve native grasslands, shrubland ecosystems, and timber stands, benefiting various wildlife species and promoting biodiversity. This MOU will allow us to leverage our combined strengths to create even more impactful conservation programs.

Thursday January 29th at 10:00am join Northern IL Prescribed Fire Coordinator Caleb Worley & Senior FBB Zach Stephenson for a virtual presentation about the benefits of prescribed fire as a management tool on the landscape!

This is a two-part event, with part 1 being the virtual presentation, and part 2 will be a live burn demonstration in Livingston County near Saunemin, IL. The burn is to be held in early February (weather depending).

Monday Oct 6, Jim Nielsen of Jo Daviess County Pheasants Forever spoke to the Warren Elementary School 3rd graders about pheasants and habitat. The class then took a field trip to the Tom and Sue Janicke farm to observe the habitat and to help release some pheasants.
