DISTRICT RECAP 🏆

Savannah Wrestling brought home 2nd place as a team this weekend and with it, the first District team trophy in program history. Only 1st and 2nd place teams earn trophies, and our guys made sure Savannah had one to put in the case back home.

While we were chasing that top spot, we couldn’t be prouder of this group and the work they put in. Finishing 2nd overall with two open weight classes says a lot about the effort, grit, and performances we saw all weekend.

From top to bottom, the entire team competed hard. As much as we wish we could take everyone with us, 7 Savannah wrestlers are heading to the State Tournament — a huge accomplishment and something this program should be incredibly proud of.

The weekend also included two major milestones:
• Deagen Pasley reached his 150th career win
• Bryson Jeffers earned his 100th career win

Proud of you girls! See you back next season! 🖤💛

Girls District Wrestling kicked off yesterday, and while illness and injury unfortunately kept the Savannah girls wrestlers out of contention, that doesn’t take away from the heart and effort they showed all season.

We want to take a moment to recognize and thank our two girl wrestlers for a great year. One joined the team late in the season, stepping in and competing with courage and determination. The other saw her season cut short due to injury — a tough break, but one that doesn’t define her strength or potential.

We’re hopeful and excited to see both of them back next season, healthy and ready to show everyone what they can do. Until then, we wish them the very best and want them to know how proud we are.

Aubrey & Landyn- Thank you both for a great season. Your resilience, commitment, and Savage pride do not go unnoticed. 💛🖤

🖤💛 WRESTLING RECAP 💛🖤

It was a busy week on the mat, and the Savages rose to every challenge.

The week started Tuesday night in Maysville, where Savannah went 2–0 in the tri-meet, earning dominant dual wins over Rock Port and Maysville and setting the tone early.

On Thursday, the Savages delivered a night to remember at the Midland Empire Conference Tournament, claiming the MEC Team Championship — our first conference title since 1994.
⭐ Braylon Ellis was named Outstanding Wrestler, and the team stacked podium finishes across the lineup in a true total-team effort.

The week wrapped up Saturday in Albany, where Savannah kept the momentum rolling by capturing another Team Championship at the Albany Invitational, closing out a grueling stretch of competition in strong fashion.

We now turn our focus on the prep for districts! 💪
