The HCHF would like to thank all of those who participated in Tour of Homes this year. We offer an EXTRA special thank you to our host families/homes/businesses. It is a big ask to open your home/business to so many people. We appreciate your support as we try to earn money to create a better future for the people of Hardin County. We also deeply appreciate the City of Savannah, Rob the Trolley Driver, and Nan Barlow with The First Presbyterian Church.

This year's tour headquarters is the beautiful First Presbyterian Church located on the corner of College and Tennessee Streets. This historic building, dating back to 1903, took the place of the original Presbyterian Church which was located on the banks of the Tennessee River, close to Cherry Mansion, and which burned after the Civil War. For those who choose not purchase their tickets in advance, they may be obtained here; Savannah's trolley will also be stationed at the church, ready to provide transportation between the tour stops for those who prefer not to walk. Parking will be available at the Tennessee Street Park, in the lot at the corner of Cumberland and Tennessee Streets, and in the parking lot of the Cumberland Presbyterian Church.

When you think of a tour of homes, you probably don't think of including an office building, but the newly renovated home of Creasy, Jones & Mitchell will certainly change your mind. The building originally housed the dry goods store of Walker & Williams and, after undergoing numerous transformations and uses, is now a reflection of its history, thoughtfully restored and updated. We're excited about this wonderful addition to the Tour of Homes, and believe you will be, too. Special thanks to the members of the firm for allowing us to showcase their efforts!

Bob and Janie Shutt are looking forward to welcoming our Tour of Homes guests to their historic residence on Sunday, December 8th. Built in 1874 by Henry E. Williams, a local buinessman and banker, the original structure did not feature the large Corinthian columns that gave the home its name - White Pillars. Those and the wrap around porches were added in the early 1900s, but after that time, the exterior of the home has remained unchanged.

In the 1970s land at the corner of Pickwick and Water Streets was being cleared for development when the Falls Cabin, the only surviving building from Savannah’s pioneer days, was discovered. Eventually it was moved to Burnt Church and used for storage where it remained for 30 years. In 2017 the cabin was moved to the Welch/Causey property and restored. You'll be able to visit this amazing piece of Savannah's history when you tour the Welch-Causey home.

This magnificent Queen Anne Victoria is home to Monte and Rhonda Causey who are graciously allowing us to include it on this year's tour. Built for Dan Welch and his wife Cornelia in 1901, the five bedroom home has nine fireplaces, two of which still have their original mantles, mirrors, and Italian marble.

The Williams-Martin home is another residence whose owners are excited to welcome this year's Tour of Homes attendees on December 8th. Built in 1915 by Henry Montague Williams, a local banker and son of Henry E. Williams (for whom White Pillars was built), the house stands just a few blocks from where he had grown up. His family sold the property in 1978, five years after H. M.'s death, and today it is home to Ricky and Patty Martin.

The DeBerry-Miller-Burgess home was once owned by professional baseball player John Herman (Hank) DeBerry and his wife Una Mae. Built in 1910 by D. J. Hughes (an influential Savannah merchant who lived just across the street) for his son Frank, today the home is owned by David and Ann Burgess, who have graciously allowed us to include it on this year's Tour of Homes.
