GRRR Georgia Rescue, Rehabilitation & Relocation GRRR Rescue provides senior, neglected, and medically fragile dogs and cats a second chance at love and life. Visit grrrsavesdogs.org.

Follow us for heartwarming arrivals, foster stories, and pets waiting for homes. Founded in 2011, GRRR is a small 501(c)(3) rescue organization that serves Savannah, Georgia and the surrounding counties. We are dedicated to rescuing dogs and cats from owners who are no longer able to care for them, from public shelters without a “no-kill” policy, and from situations where they have suffered abuse

or neglect. We are committed to helping both the most needy and the more readily adoptable animals in our community. All donations made are tax deductible, and every dollar goes directly to the care of our animals. All of our rescues are spayed or neutered, receive proper veterinary treatment, and are placed in loving foster homes while awaiting adoption. To meet a pet of interest please send us an email to: [email protected]

Another beautiful day with Team GRRR as we welcomed 13‑year‑old Peppa Pig and 9‑year‑old Noodle into our “Last Stop Loved” senior program. These two sweet seniors were rescued today and are pictured here with their incredible new foster moms, who opened their hearts without hesitation and gave them a soft place to land.

Next stop: much‑needed vet visits to tackle a handful of medical issues and set them on the path to comfort, healing, and the happy golden‑year life they deserve.

We’ll keep everyone updated as Peppa Pig and Noodle begin this new chapter surrounded by care, compassion, and love.

Team GRRR had a busy Saturday, and here are a few of our highlights (clockwise from top left):

1. Penny Purrfect headed off for a sleepover with a potential adopter. Paws crossed this leads to forever!
2. Twelve-year-old Peanut is getting his chance at a forever home with a special adoption sleepover. Paws crossed!
3. Nine-year-old Noodle found a foster home and will begin his new journey with us tomorrow.
4. We committed to rescuing Oden from the county shelter and will have him out within 24 hours. He is a severe neglect case, and we’re determined to help him heal and turn his life around.

These are just a few moments from our busy day, but they remind us why we do this. Team GRRR changed lives today and we can’t wait for tomorrow!

Want to end your day with a sense of accomplishment and purpose? Join us and help make a difference in a dog or cat’s life. Send us an email indicating what your volunteer interest might be: [email protected]

UPDATE- thank you to everyone who has lovingly reached out. We have obtained a foster home for Noodle!

Nine‑year‑old Noodle has 24 hours left to find a safe place to land. At midnight tomorrow (May 31), his home disappears. His person is being forced to move somewhere he cannot go, no matter how much she loves him.

If your heart just dropped reading that, imagine hers. Imagine how Noodle will feel when the only life he’s ever known is suddenly gone. Imagine how we would feel on Monday knowing another dog is wandering rural roads alone.

Their county shelter has no space. There is no backup plan. There is only us and the hope that someone reading this will say, “He can stay with me.”

A temporary foster would change everything. A longer foster would give us time to prepare him for a future forever home.

It costs nothing. We cover every expense. You provide the safety and love he’s about to lose.

The clock is ticking. Noodle needs a soft place to land. Text Perry at the GRRR Georgia Rescue at (912) 695‑2415 if you can help us with this emergency.

Today, when Perry stopped by Dr. Mulvey’s to have sutures removed for one of our rescue dogs, he met a mother and her young son seeking urgent care for their cat, Princess. The mother was not fluent in English but he managed to discover their plight through the young child.

Through translation, he learned the family had very limited funds, so GRRR stepped in to place Princess under our account to ensure she received the medical care, vaccines, and medications she needed.

Perry will visit the family on Sunday to check on Princess and see what additional help their other pets may need.

Rescue isn’t always about pulling animals into foster care. Sometimes it’s about helping families keep the pets they love.

We’ll keep you posted on Princess after Perry’s home visit on Sunday.
If you’d like to help defray her medical expenses and support the other pets we’ll be assisting in this family, please consider donating using the link below. Thank you.

Dear Walter,
When we rescued you on February 9th from Chatham County Animal Services, you had been abandoned, left behind and forgotten.

We gave you a loving forever foster home, where your foster mom cherished you, cared for you, and loved you.

Today, you left us for a place where there is no more pain. We are grateful your final months were filled with love, safety, and kindness. You mattered, Walter, and you will always be remembered. Your memory will live on every time we save another senior dog.

Love always and forever,
Everyone at the GRRR Georgia Rescue

To meet Prince, complete one of the following applications:
☑️ To adopt: grrrsavesdogs.org/applications
☑️ To foster: grrrsavesdogs.org/volunteer

Prince is ready for his next chapter and maybe it’s with you.

Way to go team GRRR! The GRRR Georgia Rescue changed three more lives today. Allie, Lettie, and Monty were rescued from Chatham County Animal Services, and tonight they will not be sleeping in concrete kennels, they’ll be wrapped in love, comfort, and safety in a GRRR foster home.

We’ll share their full stories tomorrow, but for now, know this: they are safe, they are loved, and their new chapter starts tonight.

We do still need one more foster home for Allie. If you can open your heart and home, please text Perry at (912) 695‑2415. Welcome to GRRR, sweet ones, you’re safe now.
