Commanders Sean Edwards and Tabitha Edwards of Naval Station Norfolk, Virginia were the guests of honor for our Veterans Day Program. An outstanding tribute to all present for their sacrifices and devotion to the standards of duty and courage.

Naval Station Norfolk is the world's largest naval station, supporting 75 ships and 134 aircraft alongside 14 piers and 11 aircraft hangars.

The base houses the largest concentration of U.S. Navy forces. Air Operations conducts an average of 275 flights per day or one every six minutes. It is the hub for Navy logistics going to the European and Central Command theaters of operations, and to the Caribbean.

Savannah Elks Lodge delivered supplies to veterans living at the Cove at Dundee, a transitional housing development created by the Chatham-Savannah Authority for the Homeless, a non-profit organization. This was made possible with the $1000 Freedom Grant award from the Elks National Veterans Service Commission and the Welcome Home Kits Project. Community support to our lodge charitable activities helps make this happen and we thank you!
