Ignite the Future: Sponsor the 2026 Junior Firefighter Camp

We are excited to announce that the Hardin County & Adamsville Junior Firefighter Camp is returning for 2026! We are looking for community partners to help us train the next generation of first responders.

Our Mission:
This 3-day immersive event provides teens (ages 13-17) with hands-on experience in firefighting, teamwork, and life-saving skills. Our goal is to foster leadership and a sense of service in our local youth, potentially sparking a lifelong career in emergency services.

How Your Sponsorship Makes an Impact:
It costs approximately $1,600 to host our 15 attendees, ensuring the camp remains accessible to all families. We welcome both monetary contributions and direct donations of supplies.

What’s In It For You?
We want to celebrate your contribution! For any sponsorship, your business logo or name will be proudly displayed on the official 2026 Camp T-shirt worn by all attendees and staff. We also welcome any "swag" or giveaways your department or business already has—teens love items they can use!

Join us in building a safer Hardin County!
Whether it’s a $25 donation or a case of Gatorade, every bit helps us reach our goal. If you are interested in sponsoring or have questions about specific needs, please reach out to us at [email protected].

🧥 How to Dress for Winter Weather ❄️

Dressing properly can make all the difference in staying warm and preventing cold-related injuries like hypothermia and frostbite.

🧊 Use the Layering System
- Base Layer (Moisture-Wicking): Avoid cotton; it traps moisture
- Middle Layer (Insulation): Traps body heat
- Outer Layer (Protection): Windproof and waterproof

🧤 Don’t Forget the Extras
- Hat: Up to half of body heat can be lost through the head
- Gloves or mittens: Keep hands warm and protected
- Scarf or neck gaiter: Covers exposed skin and traps heat
- Warm socks: Wool or thermal socks keep feet dry and warm

👖 Bottom Half Matters Too: Thermal leggings or long underwear

👶 Special Tips
- Dress children in one more layer than adults
- Keep extra dry clothing handy
- Remove wet clothing immediately

If you’re cold, wet, or windy—add a layer. Staying warm starts with dressing smart. Stay safe out there! ❄️🚒
