The LGBTQ Young Adult Shelter of Coastal Georgia The upcoming LGBTQIA+ shelter in Savannah, GA. The LGBTQ Young Adult Shelter of Coastal Georgia is an upcoming homeless shelter to be located in Savannah, GA.

Our mission is to assist the unhoused q***r and trans population of Georgia and neighboring states to the best of our abilities. Our objective is to do so through the use of monetary means, social services, educational services, referrals, peer support, a day center, and resource center. The Shelter also values operating on compassion, empathy, and empowerment of our q***r and trans neighbors and

the communities in which we intersect, particularly QBIPOC communities. We work diligently, advocating for legislative change, standing against all forms of discrimination, bringing awareness of social issues, and decreasing stigma around unhoused populations and addiction.

Hello, Savannah Community! We are looking for people who are passionate about working with LGBTQ+ youth and have life/work experience that they can share with the team!

Intersectionality and inclusivity are essential to our organization and we want to center the voices of the QTBIPOC, disabled, & neurodivergent people in our community- so if you have the capacity/energy to fill one of these positions, we would love to have you!

We’re looking for the following volunteer positions to be filled:
-Volunteer Coordinator
-Board Members (must identify as LGBTQ+)
-Governance Chair (must be a lawyer)

Thanks everyone for donating and sponsoring books- we’ve been able to donate 33 books to the Shelter library so far! This is going to be such an amazing collection for the folks that come through the shelter to see themselves represented in books!
