Power Outage on River Street Message from Alderman Leggett

Attention -

Right now we’re experiencing a power outage from basically River Street to Liberty St - east of Abercorn.

Georgia Power has been notified and we're waiting on getting an update from them.

Officers are maintaining intersections and helping pedestrians cross the street.

Topic of concern: Commercial advertising at CAT Bus stops and buses will be discussed by the CAT Board TOMORROW at 4PM, 900 E Gwinnett Street. Weigh-in your opposition to the visual impact, address emails to Stephanie Cutter and Alderman Leggett . Sample letter below:

Dear Ms. Cutter and Alderman Leggett,

I object to the proposal to wrap CAT buses in commercial advertising. This is an unwarranted intrusion of advertising into the public space, which creates visual blight and over-commercializes many residential and mixed-use communities. Please do not permit this uglification of our visual environment. Please keep the stance of CAT not to allow such visual blight.
