Over the past 4 days, Local 821 has proudly been represented by 4 of our union members in Muskegon for the Michigan Professional Fire Fighters 56th State Convention. We have been honored to attend, hearing from numerous State and U.S. Elected Officials.

We are extremely happy to announce the 2028 State Convention will be hosted in Sault Ste. Marie, bringing around 400 Union Firefighters and their families to our city. We cannot thank the membership enough for the vote, and we are excited to plan ahead for the next Convention. Many details to follow!

Local 821 has a minimum daily staffing of 5 personnel, and a maximum of 6. Our union members stay incredibly busy serving our community, and we are proud to do so!

A huge congratulations to Lieutenant Gerry Skonieczny who is working his last shift today before retirement! Gerry has served the community since July of 2000, in the roles of Firefighter, Paramedic, Engineer, Lieutenant, Fire Inspector, and Instructor Coordinator. Thank you for over 25 years of service to our community!
