Lakeshore Women Who Care is delighted to announce that Friends of Saugatuck Woman's Club is the winner of our fall award!

Member Cathy Brockington, alongside Friends of Saugatuck Women's Club chair, Lora Keller, presented that their 1870's building is in need of critical repairs, most urgently a basement retaining wall.

Saugatuck Woman's Club was established in 1904 and for over 120 years has been providing a community center for the arts, education and local non-profits. We are so grateful for the vital role they play in our community and are delighted to be supporting their ongoing efforts to preserve this beautiful building.

Hey Friends!
We are movin' and shakin' over here at Lakeshore Women Who Care (LWWC). We recently put together a pie chart to show where our gifts have gone since our club started in 2012. Check it out!

Also, we are SO CLOSE to our goal this year of having 100 members. If you are interested in learning more (and I know you are 😀) , reach out to us at [email protected], or plan to come to our next meeting on September 10 at 5:30pm at Saugatuck Brewing.

Together, we can continue to powerfully impact this place we get to call home!

And the winner of our Summer 2026 award is........Sylvia's Place!

Did you know that Sylvia’s Place is Allegan County’s ONLY domestic violence safe house. They offer secure shelter and supportive services free of charge to survivors of abuse and their dependent children.

Lakeshore Women Who Care (LWWC)'s award will go towards funding their 24-hour crisis line. Thank you Sylvia's Place for all the wonderful work you do for survivors of domestic abuse.

Thank you also to LWWC member Jeanne, and Sylvia's Place Rochelle Raab for a wonderful and informative presentation.

Lakeshore Women Who Care presented a check for $12,900 to go towards the Casco Township Beach Access Project! We are delighted to support the development of beach access so all can enjoy our beautiful lakeshore.

Our award will help fund beach access for locals and visitors alike at this beautiful public park in Casco Township.
