3.1.2026 during the Saratoga Chapter's spring meeting, new member sworn in:

After being honorably discharged from the Marine Corps in 1982 our new member Andrew “Doc” Berry earned an associates degree from Schenectady County Community College, a bachelors degree from SUNY Albany, a masters degree from Harvard University Extension School, his first doctorate (Ph.D.) from the Union Institute & University, and his second masters and doctorate (Psy.D.)from Forest Institute of Professional Psychology.

Doc is a psychologist and psychoanalyst, who is in private practice in Niskayuna, New York. He advocates for veterans, and presents at national and international conferences around the country in person, and around the world virtually. Last year he presented his work with female veterans and first responders at the United Nations in New York City. In recognition of his national and international impact on veteran advocacy, Doc was elected Fellow of the American Psychological Association in 2025.

Freedom Bells is a national bell-tolling initiative taking place at 12:00 noon local time on July 4, 2026, commemorating the 250th Anniversary of the Declaration of Independence. The program is developed by the Military Order of the World Wars.
